You said you were scared of thunder, but the lightening kills you first.
You said that you knew I'd hurt you, but you had to quench that thirst.
-Kyrian Asher

The ball was in full swing when we got there. The room was filled with amazing people of the elite society, celebrities. Some were chatting and others waltzing on the dance floor. So in a nut shell...I was disgusted. Just realizing Sir Vex-a-lot was by my side I noticed aunt Beth in a circle of people laughing at what one of them was saying. She looked really dazzling. Forgetting my escort - deliberately of course- I headed towards her. I noticed a few...well more than a few actually- men giving me glances, arrogant smirks and winks also. But then to be equitable, I did look really badass.

"Hey aunt Beth" I said, nudging her towards me a subtly

"Oh hey! Too you long enough to arrive"

"Pretty boy over there was was late, left me waiting for ages in the hotel."

"Oohhh so you think he's pretty huh?"

"What?" I asked dumbfounded
"Ewww!! Heck no. Don't even go there" I said scrunching my face in disgust

"Well I'd like you to meet some of my acquaintances"

I arched a brow at her for the way she was speaking, trying hard not to make a teasing remark on how old she sounded. After introducing me to a few of her friends which if I may add I would have gone by fine without knowing, I headed to the bar before I was forced to join in on one of their conversations. I looked at the place I had left Drew but he was nowhere to be found. I shrugged it off anyway and continued to the bar. He was probably making someone very uncomfortable with that signature scowl on his face. I smiled to myself as I sat on one of the bar stools at the far end and waited for the bar tender to finish attending to a couple. I took out my phone from my purse and saw a few messages for me. I was shocked because I never get messages or calls from anyone other than aunt Beth, it kinda was the whole point of being such a loner. I unlocked the phone and saw that the texts were from Caroline.

Hey! I came by your dorm but you weren't there. What's up.

Are you dead? Text me back so I know you're ok.

You're probably attending some kind of cult meeting ain't yah? I wouldn't be surprised. Get back to me!!!!!!!

I smiled at how sweet she was and thought maybe I could give us being friends a chance.

"He finally texted you back honey?" I heard a deep voice say causing me to whip my head up to meet a pair of warm Brown eyes and a some what goofy smile.
He was dressed in a black well tailored suit.
I ignored his comment and put my phone back into my purse.

"So what can I get you Olive?" He asked with that same goofy smile.

"Olive?" I said arching an eyebrow at the name. "You must have me mistaken for someone else"

"Nope,you're Olive alright."

"But-"

"Your eyes" he said, referring to their olive green colour. "They're beautiful"

"Thank you. How many times has that line worked for yah?" I asked flatly, not in the least impressed by him.
His eyes widened a bit in amusement followed by a deep low chuckle.

"Uhum. I like you already. So what can I get you though?"

I'm not really much of a drinker and could count the number of times I've had a drink in my life. I didn't know what to say,the thing is I don't know crap when it comes to alcohol but I knew if I was gonna get through this night I'd need a drink or two.
