Let me introduce you...

You.
You're 24. You could've gone to college after you graduated, but you didn't. You don't know what you're doing with your life, so you decide to move in with your relatives. They may or may not have some minor problems.

Shelby.
She's your aunt. Now when you think of an aunt you probably think of a 40 year old lady who you only see once or twice a year that constantly sends you desperate Candy Crush requests on Facebook. Shelby's not that lady. She's a 27 year old who dropped out of art school and moved in with her dad (your grandpa) and doesn't know what she's doing with her life either. This is kind of the reason you moved in with her. She's the youngest of her 7 sisters and isn't really taken seriously among them due to her forgetfulness and clumsy nature. She's alright.

Derek.
He's your 17 year old cousin. Let's just say he has some problems. With an alcoholic mother and a short temper, he decided to run away a few years back. Once he was found, your grandpa took custody over him and had him move in. He also makes rap music. You've listened to a few of his songs before and they weren't very happy...or family friendly either. He has a girlfriend who's always over and suspiciously is always quiet. You try to avoid them both altogether.

Your grandpa.
He's a nice guy, a bit of a pushover, but he can get pretty annoying. He hates technology with a passion and won't stop nagging you to go to the local park to 'make friends' since the day you could speak. When he's not telling you about his camping trip in Canada in 1987, he's either sleeping or working, as he still has 2 overnight jobs. Supporting several kids, a wife who doesn't work and owning a larger house isn't very good on your wallet in the long run.

Your grandma.
Now she doesn't live with any of you, but she's still pretty relevant. She's kind of insane, and became depressed and an alcoholic after her mom died a few years ago. She also got divorced from your grandpa a while ago because they fought on a daily basis. They still have...relationship issues. Anyways, she's very clingy and possesive. Her story may sound sad, and it is, but she's still a drama queen who butts into everyone's problems. You also try to avoid her.

That's about all you need to know. Of course there's other very important characters but you'll get to know them as the story progresses. Including your best friend, your "best friend" (ooo shady), and of course none other than Dan Howell and Phil Lester.
