Serena slid down the hill "ash!" She yelled. "He can't be dead!" She began to panic and tears welled in her eyes. "Ahh" she said losing her balance and tumbling down the rest of the hill.
She felt cuts in her fore arms where she stopped herself. But she knew that ash had it worse. She ran up to him seeing an almost lifeless expression in his eyes.
But as she put her hand on his neck, she felt the usual ba-dum of his heart beat. Now, her mind began to clear. "Thank goodness you are ok" she said putting her arms around his neck.
Tears began to fall down her face. "Oh you scared me" these were tears of joy now as she smiled.
Then she stood back 'what would ash do?' She thought. Only one idea came to mind. "I have to get you back to a Pokemon center.
She reached down picking him up, the adrenalin pumping through her dulling the searing pain in her legs. But as she began to walk she noticed the sun slowly sneaking beneath the mountains in the distance.
Serena cursed under her breath. They would need to stay here. AND clement had the camping gear. As well as that, almost as to add on to their misfortune she could see rain clouds advancing towards them.
Serena found a small depression in the cliff wall. This would have too do. She left ash in the small area, although there wasn't enough room for her. She knew there wasn't another space near by for her, and she couldn't leave ash, so she would just have to wait in the rain. She placed her jacket over her head.
