As Summer walked over to Freddy she took deep breaths. Okay, this was the moment. This could work according to how well everything else worked out. She tapped his shoulder and cleared her throat.
"Hey--" He turned around, "Summer?" his eyes widened as he looked her up and down.
"Yep! That's me...so did you see that new dirt bike? I heard it has special...wheels?" She started off strong, but by the end she didn't even understand herself, so it came out as more of a question.
"Uh..what? No, I haven't heard about the new dirt bike. Special wheels? Sounds cool--" Then Tomika walked in the room, "Hey Tomika!"
Freddy walked away to talk to Tomika and Summer sighed. "Why do I suck at talking?" She mumbled.
Summer sighed and walked over to her desk. She sat down and Zach tapped her back.
"What do you want?!" She asked harshly turning to look at him.
"Why are you dressed like that?" He asked ignoring Summer's rude remark. See what Summer didn't know is that Zach had a huge crush on her.
"I was trying to...never mind." Summer sighed and looked down, she can't believe what she just did. Zach was completely aware about Summer's feelings toward Freddy but Summer was ashamed to tell him what happened.
"You tried to get Freddy huh?" He asked, and he seemed upset..he rubbed Summer's arm trying to comfort her.
She nodded sadly and slowly.
"Don't change for him. You're beautiful and if he can't see that he doesn't deserve someone like you." He sighed and stopped rubbing her arm.
Summer turned to face the front of the room and smiled to herself, 'did Zach call me beautiful?' She thought.
Then, Summer looked over at Tomika and gave her the look. Tomika nodded. It's time for Plan B. But what's going on with Zach?
