CHAPTER 5 ::

Lemuel's POV:

She was in front of me, breathtaking as always. She was floating in mid air hands resting to her side and her rich ebony black hair was waving with the wind only there wasn't any wind.

Everything was dark except for her white elegant full length dress which emitted light. I was sitting down on the floor of an empty room about five feet away from her. I knew this could only be a dream.

"Essie!" I called her name surprised. "Last time you appeared on one of my dreams my parents died," I told her with a concerned voice. When she appears it always means: Change.

Her round violet eyes looked at me with sympathy. "I'm sorry I didn't help your parents. I see the future it was necessary," I could notice the truth in her voice. I believe her.

"Why are you invading my dreams again? What bad new do you bring now?" I asked but honestly I didn't want to know what changes were coming this time.

"Bad news?" She asked between giggles. "I'm here to repay my debt to you and your brothers," I rose from the ground and stood next to her. Good news? I'm not sure if I want to hear them.

"The only way you can repay us is by bringing our parents back," I frankly replied. I was extremely bold for talking like this to the Moon Goddess but she and I have a connection even I can't explain.

"Lemuel, you do know that not even I can return the dead," she said shrinking her shoulders.

I gave a big sigh.

"I'm not interested then," I said ignoring her while trying to figure out how to wake up from this dream.

"Not even if it's about the promise I made you thirty years ago?" She said getting her feet closer to the ground so we could be at the same eye level. I knew exactly what she was talking about but I pretended I didn't.

"Essie! I don't remember and I really don't care. Wake me up!" I said already getting annoyed by all her nonsense. She rest her hands on my shoulder and I immediately felt, Peace? "Stop playing with my emotions," I order her.

Essie is a complicated woman. She's like a siren that sings to you until you fall asleep and then gets you kill. The only difference is she doesn't notice how much she can affect others.

"Sorry I didn't mean to," she is always apologizing. Essie is a gentle soul that's why I can't come to hate her. She took her hands away from my shoulders and pressed her right hand against my chest right on top of my heart, "Your heart is dark and empty just like this room. It's time to bring light back," she said with a small smile on her stunning face. Her porcelain like skin started glowing I was blinded by her growing light. I can feel she's transferring some of her light into my heart I just don't know why.

"Is this the Lunar School?" I heard an arousing feminine voice screaming at the back of my head.

I woke up gasping for air pressing my hands to my chest I sat on the edge of my king size bed. What the hell just happened? Someone's voice woke me up from Essie's dream. Who can possibly have so much authority capable of waking me up from the Moon Goddess' dream? No one that I know, I answered my own damn question. I ignored that pleasant voice I heard before and decided to take a good morning shower.
