Now, I wouldn't call myself ugly, but if one of the hottest guys in the entire school(maybe even the state) said "Hi" to an average, under-the-radar kind of person like me, I'm bound to be a little self conscious.
"Uh, hey!" I replied, tucking a strand of wavy chestnut hair behind my ear. And then I just kinda scared at him. Yeah, I know, SUPER embarrassing. But the way his sapphire eyes just had gold flecks and a sweet twinkle to them just mesmerized me. No to mention his chiseled jaw and, coming from a girl that has a friend who spends HOURS on her eyebrows, impeccable eyebrows. He wasn't too muscular to the point where it was gross, but he was lean and tall. Plus, he had the most tantalizing smile that it would be impossible not to stare.
After looking at Samuel for about thirty seconds, I snapped out of my daze and remembered about the mess I still needed to clean up.
"Oh, uh, I need to go. Sorry! Bye!" I rushed, turning around.
"Oh yeah, sure, um, think about it okay?" he called after me, giving me one of his absolutely amazing smiles.
...
What the hell am I supposed to think about?!
Sighing in pure confusion, I got back to the table, handed Andrea a couple of paper towels, and rushed to clean up the mess. Surprisingly, it only took about one minute for us to clean up the whole taco fiasco and I actually got to fifth period on time.
Because Andrea and I had fifth period in the classes across the hall together, she whispered to me right before I got to my chemistry class.
"I need to talk to you. Our place. 4 o'clock." and just like that she left.
