"Okay, that was an hour! Time's up!" Keanna announced, standing up from her seat.

"Mommy!" Shiloh whined, slapping the water.

"No whining. Get out."

"Listen to Mommy, Shiloh. Get out," Aubrey said, exiting the pool and getting Shiloh's Paw Patrol towel.

"Okay," she sighed.

"Hurry up, baby, because I still have to do your hair," Keanna said, packing up her things.

Aubrey wrapped Shiloh in her towel and peppered kissed all over her dripping wet face.

"I don't wanna get my hair done," she muttered in Aubrey's ear.

"I'm sorry. But you'll look pretty when you're finished," he said carrying her inside.

Keanna took her straight to the shower to wash the mess on her head. Aubrey took himself a shower as well and answered some texts and emails. One text was from Donovan saying that he bought the apartment and he's currently moving in. Aubrey was more than happy to hear that.

Because he was feeling awfully generous, Aubrey decided to make dinner. He knew Shiloh would only eat dino nuggets and he only made five this time. For himself and Keanna, he made spaghetti. Keanna always raved about his spaghetti.

"Mommy!" Shiloh whimpered as Keanna brushed her edges. "Stop brushing so hard!"

"Quit whining and maybe this will go a little smoother," Keanna snapped, applying more edge control.

"Mommy!"

"Do you wanna get spanked because you're not listening!"

"The brush is too hard!"

"Shiloh, I bought the softest brush they had! You're just tender-headed."

"No, you're heavy-handed!"

Keanna tried not to brush as hard but still got some complaints. Finally, she got so fed up that she put her hair in a ponytail and called it a day. She figured that Shiloh didn't care if her edges looked nice or not.

"Dino nuggets!" Shiloh exclaimed running to the dinner table.

Aubrey put her in a chair and squirted ketchup on her plate so she could eat. Keanna took a deep breath before trudging to the table and taking a seat.

"Oh good, spaghetti," she sighed, picking up her fork.

"I know it's your favorite," Aubrey said, accompanying them at the table.

"What made you want to make dinner?" Keanna inquired suspiciously picking up her fork.

"I was feeling nice, that's all. I wanted to continue this family time. Now let's have a normal conversation like a normal family because we're normal right, Shiloh?" Aubrey asked, tapping Shiloh's nose.

Shiloh nodded and dipped her dino nugget in some ketchup.

"So, are you excited about school, baby?" Aubrey was the first to initiate this family conversation.

"No," Shiloh mumbled.

"Why not?" Keanna suddenly became interested in something other than the spaghetti.
