It was a clear day in Shibuya, Japan's main fashion district. As usual, a sea of people could be seen crossing the streets at the famous Shibuya Crossing infront of Shibuya Station. Among the crowd was a young woman named Kusanagi Aya could be seen walking towards the train station heading to her University using the train.
"Why is my life so boring..." Aya asked herself as she took a sip of the hot tea she bought at Starbucks earlier.
Aya just reached 24 and it was her 1st year in Uni. She was the daughter of the famous Miko at Meiji temple. Her hair was almost brown and it extended from her head to just below her shoulders. Aya was a bookworm so she had the most outrageous fashion like checkered pattern blouse, half length long skirt, different color pairing shoes and her spectacles was square and double the size of what normal people would wear.
Aya had just broken up with her previous boyfriend named Takaki Yuya and she had decided to stop believing in love and chose to live alone till the day she dies. Everything changed when she met a cute looking boy named Chinen Yuri as the boy kept telling her that love was beautiful and she should give it another chance.
"So.. wha--" Aya bumped into someone and she fell on the ground.
"I'm sorry, are you okay?"
Aya looked up to the voice that called her and saw the most perfect creation she had ever seen, "Y-ye-ye-yes.."
"Sorry, I should have been more alert with my surroundings.." the guy said.
"No, no.. It was me.. I was in deep thought and forgot to pay attention to where I was going.."
"My name's Jesse.. What's yours?" Jesse introduced himself to Aya.
Aya replied Jesse while she stuttered, "I-I-I'm A-a-a---"
"Angelina?" Jesse interrupted Aya, "Cause you look like an angel.."
"Eh? No no.. My name is Aya..."
Jesse smiled after Aya introduced herself and extended his hand offering her a handshake. Suddenly they heard a loud honking noise and realized that they were still in the middle of the crossing and the light had turned green for the cars to move. They bowed to the drivers in the cars and walked across.
"So... where are you going? Wanna get some coffee?" Jesse initiated.
"I actually have to get to class.. Sorry.. How bout a rain check?"
"Sure, give me your phone.." Jesse asked and entered his phone number in Aya's phone.
Aya smiled and said she wanted to give Jesse a miss call but Jesse said it wasn't necessary since he will know that she is calling. They went their separate ways; Aya towards the train station and Jesse to the traffic light since he wanted to go to Shibuya 109.
Not far from them, Yuya, Aya's ex-boyfriend was standing while leaning to a wall behind him and saw everything that happened.
"My father is not gonna be pleased with you.." a voice could be heard behind Yuya.
Yuya turned and saw it was his cousin, Ryosuke, "Shut up Ryosuke, I will fix this."
"You better fix this." Ryosuke replied and walked away.

In the High Heaven, a realm cloaked from the mortal eyes, a group of beings called the Aegis Council was watching as Aya and Jesse's destiny began taking course.
"We should stop this brother." one of the beings said.
"Yes, if this goes on, something is going to happen." another said.
"You know I can't do that." the being answered the questions asked by his brothers.
The Aegis Council was a group of beings who called themselves Aegis'. There were five members of the Aegis Council and each of them was the embodiment of different virtues that are important for humankind. It was led by the youngest among them, Chinen Yuzaki who was the Aegis of Justice. The other four were Ohno Satoshi the Aegis of Valor, Ninomiya Kazunari the Aegis of Hope, Tsukada Ryoichi the Aegis of Wisdom and the only sister among them, Hongo Akira who was the Aegis of Love. The Aegis' were the leaders of Heaven, ranking higher even than the archangels.

"Why can't you?" Satoshi questioned Yuzaki, "You're the strongest among us brother. You can do whatever you want."
"Satoshi-niisan, you know why I can't interfere with their destiny.." Yuzaki replied, "I am Justice itself and I find no justice in denying them the chance to fall in love."
"Yuzaki is right Satoshi-nii, we should give them a chance to sprout." Akira sided with Yuzaki.
"It's easy for you say Akira-chan." Kazunari said to his younger sister, "You're the embodiment of love."
"Nino!" Ryoichi shouted, "We are the Aegis Council. We are better than this."
"SILENCE!" Yuzaki got irritated with the brawling that his siblings had. "We'll see how it goes from here and that's it!"
The others fell silent and stood up and shimmered away. Yuzaki didn't know what to do at the time since if he denied Aya and Jesse their chance to fall in love, he would not be doing justice.
"Father.. I need your help..." Yuzaki said to himself as he looked up to the endless depth of the universe.
