Chapter 8 : Sacrifice

In the Galaxia Hall of the High Heaven, the Aegis' and their guests were getting ready for a ceremony. Yuri was laying on a bed of floating clouds in the middle of the hall while his brothers and sister formed a circle around him. 

"Yuzaki... Are you sure?" Ryoichi asked.

"You agreed earlier. Please don't make this harder than it is now.." Yuzaki pleaded.

"We already voted. 3 yeses and 2 nos. Majority take precedent." Kazunari interrupted.

"Coming from someone who voted no.." Ryoichi said.

Akira snapped her fingers and the room became dimmed, "Why can't you lovely siblings stop bickering and for once, THINK ABOUT YURI!!! The only ones here that actually even care about our baby brother is Yuzaki and ME! Satoshi! You Satoshi, are blinded by your Valor and ego to even care about him! Kazunari! You should be the Hope that guides us and humankind! But instead! You're crushing hopes and making everything so hard!!"

"ENOUGH!!" Yuzaki lashed out and the room began shaking followed by a crack on the floor, "I AM DOING THIS!!"

Before anyone could say anything, Yuzaki started reading a spell.

Spirits of Air, Fire, Earth and Sea,
Converge to set this Angel free,
Remove his grace so he can flee,
From his fate that we can't see.

 Yuri's body started glowing and a white aura began seeping out through his feet. Aya asked what was happening and Tegoshi said that the Aegis' were stripping Yuri from his grace.

"If they are stripping him from his grace, what will happen to him?" Aya asked with worries.

"Usually when angels die, they will be reborn into the world as a mortal. But in this case, they are stripping him from his grace. I'm not sure what will happen." Tegoshi answered.

Yuri's grace was finally stripped from him and his body's angelic glow began to dim. Not long after, he began fading and his body began sinking into the bed of clouds as if he was being sucked under.

"Where did you get that spell??" Ryoichi asked, "It wasn't in any books or any records. Not even in my memories."

"I created it. The original spell we had was going to kill him and made him reborn into a new born baby." Yuzaki answered.

"That is how things are supposed to be! You can't just change things to your will!! What does your spell do?! Turn him mortal with his memories?!??!!!!!" Satoshi lashed out.

"He CAN'T have the memories about us!!! He will be a target!!!" Kazunari added, "You have overstepped the border!!"

"WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ME?!!" Yuzaki yelled, "I HAVE DONE WHAT I NEEDED TO PROTECT OUR BROTHER!! All that I did was strip him of his grace and turn him mortal."

"I sense his heart! It's in him!!" Akira announced, "What happened? How?"

The whole realm of heaven shook and a loud bang was heard. Kazuya shot a fire ball from hell and it hit the Crystal Gate; the only entrance to heaven. 

"What was that?" Ryoichi wondered.

"I guess that was Kazuya being pissed at us.. Well to be precise, at me.." Yuzaki teased, "When I cast that spell, I used a line specifically saying so that Yuri could flee from a fate that we can't see. Which I hoped would have changed his fate and null anything that Kazuya had planned for him."

"That would have returned his heart to him.." Ryoichi said, "I'm sorry for doubting you.."

"But now we have to wonder what are the side effects. If Yuri has his memories, he will the targeted by the demons. His life would be in constant danger!" Kazunari worried.
