"Oh my gods Zoë, we are going to be late if you don't hurry up!"
My twin sister Eve was always in a rush to get places.
"Please Eve. Just give me a minute."
I had been procrastinating making my family tree for history class. I don't know much about my past. My mom raised me and my twin sister ever since are dad left us a a month after we were born. Even though my mom was a single parent she was the perfect mother and did everything for us. She did everything she could to make our lives as best as she could. But we were fourteen now. It is getting hard for her to keep up with two teenage girls and her job. My mom is a historian and is always traveling around to fill in the text books. Even though she is a historian she can't even find time to help me with my family tree project.
As I said, I don't know much about my family's history. All I really know is my mom is Miranda Legatus. Her mom, my grandmother, was Julia Legatus. I don't know who my father or grandfather are. My mom didn't have any siblings. I have no sources as my mom would say. It is as if half of my family tree was dead or chopped off.
"Okay Eve, almost done... And that does it." I said.
My family tree had four people on it. I was supposed to have ten relatives. Since half my tree was dead that's exactly how I made it. I new I was going to get a poor grade, but when I explained why my tree was so dead I would get an A. Again. Sympathy A's.
"Finally!" Eve exclaimed.
