In the beginning...

I turned on my side, shutting my alarm off. Well I guess I'm beginning today with an annoyed feeling. I groaned and rolled out of bed. No more hiding out in my room, I finally have to face what happened over the weekend. I retrieved my phone from my closet and so much to my not surprise, I had 18 missed calls from Anna and a few texts, 1 being from Wes.

I got dressed and headed downstairs, grabbed my keys and took off. I was already 5 minutes late, for which I am extremely grateful. It means I get to miss any early morning questioning from Anna. On the other hand, I will be seeing Wes unless I decide to skip the first three periods, which I'm not. I parked in my usual spot and headed to the devil's class, Math.

"Miss McCartney, so good of you to finally grace us with your presence. Take a seat." Mr. Robert didn't even glance at  me but continued writing out notes. Unfortunately, my seat partner was known other than Wes Rivers. Wes isn't your typical guy. He's not quiet or loud. He keeps to his group of friends but doesn't mind exploring. One of the things I admire about him. He is gorgeous though with his 6ft height and lean body, toned in all the right places. His amazing soft hair and great sense of style not to mention how great he smells. And of course he has the perfect girlfriend to walk by his side, Anna, my best friend.

"Why didn't you answer your phone all weekend?I was going nuts, thought someone killed you or something," he whispered so gently, I couldn't help the chills that coursed through me. His throaty voice having that effect on me.

"I was busy," wasn't he aware of the consequences of Friday night? Or could he have forgotten? I don't believe he could've been that drunk to not remember. The thought of that eventful night brings color to my cheeks.

"Well we need to talk about what happened, meet me at the stairs at 11?"He asked with a sense of urgency, maybe he did remember after all.

"Yeah, okay 11," I spoke back calmly just as the bell rang. I gathered my stuff and was about to sprint when he pulled me back.

"Where are you going in such a hurry? We always walk together," His eyebrows creased into a frown but his hand never left the grip on my elbow. From that slightest touch alone, I was affected.

" I know but I had to get my Chem books from my locker so meet you there?" I said, pulling my hand form his grip.
"Okay meet you there," I walked away before he could even finish.

As soon as I bent the corner and was sure I was out of sight, I leaned against the wall and took a breath. I prayed that something, anything would happen so I wouldn't have to face any of them.
