~*~Hey guys new story I dont know if I am going to keep it yet but still, vote and stuff please so I know if you like it, and if enough people like it I'll keep it xoxo~*~
“Damon, I have to go home.” She told me as we walked out of the bar, her light brown hair was blowing in her face, its usual curly waves had been straightened out just for tonight, her bright golden brown eyes were brighter than ever in the bright lights outside the bar.
Loud rock music could still be heard through the doors even though for me it sounded like I was still inside my vampire senses caused that. “Tell me why again Lily.” I said jokingly even though I had my humanity off, this girl stirred something, she was interesting from the first night I had met her, she had blown me off at the bar when I tried to charm her into dancing, later that night she started a fight with another guy. She had won the fight, after that I became friends with the girl with golden eyes.
“Because I have to go to the doctors, you know that.” She laughed lightly and twirled in the street her black jacket swirling around her, her bare stomach looked deathly white as her top had ridden up as she stretched her arms above her head. Lily had cancer; her skin was always a white colour. Even I knew that she wouldn’t make it past her next birthday even though she hid the pain I could see it “Right, so you should be getting home then.” I laughed as we began to walk towards her tiny apartment in down town New York. She talked the whole way there about this new treatment the doctors were going to try.
Soon we made it to the 20 year olds apartment, her full pink lips pulled into a smile as she pulled her keys from her shorts and unlocked the door, she stood in the door way for a second “I should be home by lunch time, come over and see me?” She asked her eyes hopeful and a nodded softly “Kay, goodnight Damon.” She said then closed the door.
I went back to the bar; I sat on a stool looking down at my drink thinking about maybe giving Lily a second chance, to give her the option to become a vampire. But I knew she would most likely say no, she said if she was going to die, she was going to die and nothing could change that. After I downed by drink I went and found a girl to take back to my apartment not far from the bar.
That next morning I smiled seeing the girl I had brought with me was gone, the only trace she had been there was the small blood stain on the pillow where she had slept. I looked at the clock and it was almost lunch I got up quickly and got dressed in a pair of black jeans and a white shirt. I made my way towards Lily’s place and as I did I stopped to look at leather jacket, the girl at the cash was looking at me, I smiled at her taking the jacket and pulled it on. I smiled at the girl who was working I looked her in the eyes “You will never notice the jacket missing, I was never here.” I said compelling her then watched her nod and I was gone.
I got to Lily’s apartment and noticed the door open slightly I knocked “Lily?” I called out, then heard footsteps and a man appeared I recognized him as her older brother Joshua “I’m sorry Lily is not here, and she’s not coming back.” He said looking at me, I looked at him “What do you mean?” He gave me a sad look “She’s dead, she died sometime last night, in her sleep they think. It was the cancer.” I looked at him and then nodded my head softly “Oh, okay.”
