Tall, established buildings loom over me
As lights flicker from the headlights of those expensive cars
Busy passengers push pass me
Some knocking into my shoulders
And without an apology
They continue on their way
I watch as faces zoom by my sides
All of them foreign; yet zombie-like
With dark drooping eyes
And hearts, perhaps
Dead
The city is a beautiful skin
Yet underneath it is a cold and heavy heart
Standing in the midst of a buzzing city
Have you ever found yourself, lost?
