The relief

The next day I got a call from the doctor saying that Charlie had a slight concussion and that he had broken his wrist in three places but that he was going to be ok!! I thanked the doctor and hung up the phone! I just couldn't stop smiling all day!
When Charlie got home later that day he asked me what had happened and that he hadn't remembered any of it. You fell over a step at the party and your wheelchair had flipped so I had to drive you to the emergency room and stay there all night to make sure you were ok. After I had told him, he looked up at me and gave he an awkward hug. He then said, " Oh thank you, I..I..I could just kiss you, as a matter of fact I think I will!" He grabbed my shoulders and pulled me closer, then our lips touched! It was like magic! A few moments later we pulled away and I blushed. The only way I knew to get out of this situation was to make a cup of tea. So I rushed to the kitchen to do so. When I came back he was sitting in front on the TV watching Breaking Bad. I giggled and he turned his head towards me. " Oh did I interrupt you?" I asked shyly. " Do you want to watch with me" he answered, ignoring my question. "Sure, why not." I answered boldly. So we sat on the couch together for hours watching TV.
