I am running. That's all I can do, run. Trees zooming past me. I haven't the slightest idea why I am running. My breath is quick and heavy, however it seems I can continue running for a long time. My heart pounding with adrenaline; nevertheless, my mind seems as though it is now, asking questions that won't be answered. It's so dark, I can't see anything but the faint outline of trees passing by, and the leaves upon the ground from the full moon at hand.
I am just running without a cause. I can't stop though, my feet won't let me. As I ran I noticed someone or something appearing beside of me. The silhouette of this figure, so familiar yet so faint in my mind. I kept glancing at the figure searching for facial features, something that would let me know who it was. I could tell it was male, not tall but not small either, average. Such a simple man, but why was he running along side me in these woods so late at night? Why am I running? That one last question kept appearing in my mind. Although just when I realized it I was at my destination. A meadow. A beautiful meadow. I guess my fate, and this figure's fate, was here in this meadow full of what looked to be daisies, lupines and tall grass. The grass was not tall enough though to cover what was to be a nightmare. My heart along with my feet abruptly came to a stop, along with the figure. All I saw was red eyes. they pierced through the trees around us. Up above, down below, and some how hanging from the side of the trees. I gave one last glance to the figure beside me. I then saw it, I saw who it was. My father.
I blink and in the moment I opened my I eyes I saw daylight piercing through the trees, no longer the red eyes. The flowers were beautiful, the meadow so lively, I could hear the birds chirping, yet as I looked down all I saw was crimson red splattered everywhere. I saw a mangled body. Not just one, but a second one. A woman, which once had beauty, was mangled up. I knew the face, it was my mother. My parents bodies, spread out among the meadow.
Then I woke up.
