Ashtyn's POV
I walked into Oracle Arena to have a meeting wirh my ex husband about his contract extention. Everytime i have to meet with him its always so awkward. But this is my job i cant just drop a client becaus eof personal issues.
""Hey Ashtyn, lets get this over with." Klay said.
"Sooner the better." I said.
As you can probably tell we didnt end on the best of terms. We can be civilized for a short period of time but after that old things start to come up then we argue.
"Okay so here are the things you need to sign." I said pushing him the papers.
"This isnt the first time you gave me something to sign." He mumbled.
"Here we go again. Can we be civilized for once" I said.
"You werent being civil when you decided to end our marriage over an argument." He said
"Thats the thing Klay it wasn't just one arguement. It was all the little ones before the big one." I said.
"Every couple argues Ashtyn." He said.
"Not every day." I said.
"Why cant you just admit you were wrong." He said.
"Because i wasn't wrong. Why can't you get over your ego and admit you were wrong." I said.
"I have admitted my wrongs many times. You are just to stubborn and hard headed to listen to me." He said.
"Thats right Klay im just a big stubborn hard headed bitch. I just wanted to end our marriage because i felt like it. Do you know how many nights i sat up crying over you but you didnt see my pain. You were to busy with your career to work on our marriage." I said getting teary eyed.
"I tried to get you to go to marriage consuling. I sat there many days talking to a complete stranger about our problems with out you there." He said.
"You know what Klay i dont have time for this. Just sign these papers and get them back to me." I said getting up.
"Thats the problem you never had time. I wasnt the only one being career driven." He said as i walked out.
I walked out of the arena and was almost to my car when someone yelled my name. I turned around to meet rhe voice who was yelling and seen it was. My cousin Stephen.
"What Steph?" I asked putting my stuff in my car.
"Why can't you admit you still love him?" He asked.
"I'll admit it when pigs fly." I said.
"This is your life, dont let your stubborness ruin it. I know for a fact he loves you. And i know you still love him." Steph said.
"The problem is when are we going to work on things.? We both got demanding careers." I said.
"If you truly care you make time." Stephen said walking away.
I sat back in my car and took a deep breath maybe he's right.
