As I walked down the stairs, my father gave me my birthday present and said to me: Happy birthday Sue! Happy sweet sixteen! Open your present Sue!" I laughed at how over energetic my father was and opened my birthday present.

I opened the present and to my surprise, it's a kitten. I should have known that it was an animal as I saw a few holes at the top of the present. I said:" Thanks Dad! I love it! How you know that I always wanted a kitten?" He replied:" isn't it obvious? Every time we passed the pet store, you would go look around and always stare at the cats." I laughed as it was 100% true.

I gave the kitten some food and I decided to name it Snow because it's fur is like snow. After naming the kitten, I left my house to go to school. When I reached to school, my friends were no where to be found. I went to class and the classroom was unlocked.

As I walked further in the classroom, I saw someone who I don't recognize. It was a man with eyes as blue as the ocean and hair as red as blood. I asked:" Who are you?" He replied:" You would find out soon, Sue." He disappeared. I said out loud:" Eh? The stranger disappeared." My friends laughed and said:" Sue. What are you talking about? There are no strangers in the room." I was surprised by their response. My friends then said:" Follow us to the computer lab." I nodded and followed.

When I reached to the computer lab, the lights was off. I asked my friends:" What are we doing here?" They said:" Just wait and see." As I entered, I heard "SURPRISE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I was certainly surprised that my classmates and my teachers actually did all this for me. The decorations, the cake and presents. After we eat the cake, I kept all my presents and at the end of the surprise party in school, we removed all the decorations. It was the best day in school ever but sadly it's over.

When I left school and return home, I said:" I'm home dad!" But there was no response which is unusual. I heard Snow was meowing so loudly that it sounded like screaming. So I went to the area where snow was which was in the living room. To my horror, I found father lying lifelessly on the ground. I immediately take out my phone to call the police.

When the police arrived to the scene, they asked me a couple of questions. I answered all of them. When they left the scene, I called Stacy who is my best friend if I could stay at her house for a sleep over. She agreed and I went to her house. She asked me :" Why do you want to sleep over out of nowhere?" I burst out in tears and explained what happened. She tried to cheer me up and said:" I'm sorry for your loss Sue. You can stay as long as you want. " I replied:" Thanks, you are the best Stacy." She smiled and said:" Your welcome."
