Storming the Castle

Once she'd got over the initial shock of being completely hornless, Twilight and Bee realised that the main doors had been unlocked all along! She just needed to give them a push. She, Spike and Bee entered the castle, careful to avoid being seen by any royal guards. This kingdom and everything about it was mysterious - there was no way Twilight and Bee were risking being thrown in a dungeon and trapped for thirty moons. Not in these bodies! Twilight, Spike and Bee approached a glass case just inside the main entrance. Twilight tried to ignore the reflection of herself that she could now see. Her face was flat, and her body was tall and thin. What in Equestria did Bee call these things again? She shuddered and turned her attention back to the mission.  The case in front of them appeared to be protecting a bunch of golden relics. Most of them were shaped like goblets with elaborate handles. Some of them had names engraved into them, and others just said CHS. Twilight didn't see the crown or the necklace in the case. That would be far too easy. "What do you think, guys?" Twilight said, looking for clues. "Are these other artifacts that Sunset Shimmer and Lockdown have stolen from Equestria?" "Checking out our trophies huh?" The sound of Sideswipe's voice made Twilight and Bee jump. "And what's with the logo on your shirt?" asked Rainbow Dash from out of nowhere. They turned around and were met with the sight of one of their two best friends. Well, sort of. They still looked like the same old Rainbow Dash and Sideswipe in a way - sporting a multi-coloured and red mane, a light blue and red hide and a smug expression. The only differences were that these Rainbow Dash and Sideswipe had a strange body like Twilight and Bee's new ones. Rainbow was wearing a cool outfit consisting of a red skirt, tall blue sneakers and a cobalt-blue shirt while Sideswipe was wearing a punk-rocker-ish outfit consisting  of a red leather jacket, red and black-spiked wrist bands, red trousers, black shoes and a white shirt sporting the Autobot logo. Rarity and Drift would have approved of the sporty look. "Rainbow Dash? Sideswipe?" Bee asked, unsure. "The one and only!" Sides replied, with a familiar little smirk on his funny short-muzzled face. "What are you two doing here?" Twilight asked. Rule breaking made Twilight uneasy. Apparently,  even in this realm. But unlike Twilight and Bee, it wouldn't be the first time Rainbow and Sideswipe had broken the rules. "Princess Celestia and Optimus Prime said we were the only ones who could be here," Bee scolded. Twilight was still trying to figure out how both Spike, Sideswipe and Rainbow Dash had managed to jump through the portal after them. "Princess Celestia and Optimus Prime?" Rainbow looked at the two like they were nuts. "You mean, Principal Celestia and Optimus Primeinester?" "We... well... we don't..." Twilight stammered trying to make sense of what those words meant. Maybe principal and primeminester  were some sort of new nicknames for princess and prime that they hadn't heard yet. They raised an eyebrow at the bizarre versions of their friends. "Me and my friend are totally allowed to be here. We have hall passes," Sideswipe retorted, holding up two small wooden paddle. They both gave the pair a sideways look. "Better run. Catch you later, new guys!" As they watched Rainbow and Sideswipe run their two hind and only legs, Twilight and Bee marvelled at the similarities between the new Rainbow and Sideswipe and the old ones. Everything they said and did seemed just like the pony and bot Rainbow Dash and Sideswipe - but they obviously had no clue who Twilight or Bee were. It was fanscinating. BRIIIING! Bells began to ring from every direction. Twilight, Spike and Bee stiffened, worried that they had somehow set off some sort of magic castle alarm. But before they could hide themselves, hundreds more creatures like Twilight and Bee - girls and boys - pour into the hallway through every door in sight it was more crowded than the farm on Apple Day! The creatures shuffled back and forth down the corridor, shoving into one another carelessly. They were all in such a rush. Twilight and Bee swayed back and forth, fighting to stay standing on their new legs amid all the commotion. Twilight was still a little wobbly. A sudden push from a girl with light purple hair (who strangely resembled Diamond Tiara from back in Ponyville) sent Twilight stumbling directly into someone else. Twilight and Bee soon lost control and continued to Ping-Pong through the bodies until two helpful arms reached out to break their fall. "You OK?" the blue-haired boy creature said through a concerned expression. It was all they could do to nod a response and back away from them. This was the busiest castle they'd ever seen. Twilight and Bee were completely overwhelmed. As if Bee'd read Twilight's mind, he whispered, "This isn't a castle, its a high school." As they watched the girls and boys all around them - talking, laughing and slamming tiny metal doors on the wall - Twilight silently agreed that the Autobot-turned-human might just be right. But if it wasn't a castle, then why did it need a crown? The hallway crowd was starting to thin out, so Twilight didn't feel as panicky. She and Bee had been so busy getting used to this strange realm with it's two-legged animals that Bee called humans, she was wasting precious crown and necklace finding time. She took a couple of deep breaths and tried to determine their next move. Twilight surveyed the area with caution, peeping in all directions like a spy. Spike just shrugged and thumped his new tail. "We're really sorry," whimpered a tiny voice from around the corner. "We just found it and thought that we should give it to her." a second soft yet confident voice added. The pair knew those two voices anywhere - there was no doubt that it was Fluttershy and Jetstorm! And they were in trouble. Twilight and Bee leaned around a set of of green metal locking doors lined against the wall to get a better look. Sure enough, a girl with vibrant red-and-golden hair and a greyish blue teenager with greyish blue hair leaned over two people who were definitely this world's version of Fluttershy and Jetstorm. They recognised their friends instantly - their colourful bodies and demure expressions were unmistakeable. "We didn't know that you had dropped it," Fluttershy explained to the other figures, who's faces were hidden. "Well, we did and we were about to get them before you and your pal swooped in and ruined everything! You shouldn't take things that don't belong to you." the girl growled.  Long story short, Bee and Twilight stood up to the bullies and then they just walked away as if they didn't care. Fluttershy said she couldn't believe that they just did that and told them that no one ever stood up to Sunset Shimmer or Lockdown. Bee and Twilight knew their chances of getting the crown and necklace were getting better. Then Fluttershy informed them that she and her friend Jetstorm had found it and turned in to Principal Celestia not wanting anything to happen to it. Fluttershy said that the office of Principal Celestia was third door on the left if they ever wanted to talk to them. Bee and Twilight thanked her and Fluttershy advised them to hide Spike in Twilight's bag because the school had a strict 'no pets allowed' policy. Fluttershy then heard the bell, she was late for class! She scooped up her animal friends put them in her bag and sprinted off down the corridor, soon disappearing from site with Jetstorm on her tail. Same old Jetstorm and Fluttershy! Bee thought. The Autobot couldn't help but notice that another boy had suddenly appeared behind them. "Thanks for saving my brother!" He said. "I would just hate for anything to happen to him." Bee said it was nothing and asked the boy his name. The boy said that his name was Slipstream and he had seen everything, the comfrontation with Lockdown and Sunset Shimmer, the lot of the scene from earlier. Bee smiled and patted Slipstream on the shoulder before leaving with Twilight.
