Hope you like.
Vincent texts you everyday.
EVERY DAY.
MULTIPLE TIMES.
You're sick and tired of it. Every time your cellphone goes off, it's HIM.
At first you hesitated, but answered back as a friendly gesture, then made up an excuse to stop. But he ALWAYS texts back later.
He doesn't stop.
Not only has he been annoying you, but also Rachelle joins in on the party.
You walk home everyday now. She no longer wants to spend time with you.
One day you spoke to your parents about this, but they said she needed the car more since college is farther and should come straight home to study now that Vincent can't help her.
"Don't worry honey" Your mother comforted. "It's just walking. Only for now."
You sighed.
That's not the point. It's Rachelle's growing distance that worries you.
So now, you've been ignoring the constant messages and haven't spoken to your sister for a long while.
Something that's also been troubling you was Jeremy.
You visited him once, which surprisingly led to his mother screaming at you and calling security. She blames you for his current state. Sadly, he still hasn't woken up.
Closing your locker, you tiredly rubbed your eyes.
Another day done.
As you walked towards the exit, you took out your phone and looked at the screen.
104 new messages.
You grunted.
Doesn't he get tired!?
Placing back your cellphone, you walked out the entrance and descended the stairs, ready to walk home-
"(Y/N)..."
You froze.
Stopping dead.
Not even wanting to look up because of the dread of knowing who it may be...but more importantly...how does he know?-
"(Y/N)."
You took your time, slowly lifting your gaze.
There stood Vincent, slightly leaning against the side of his car. Lips curved up in a smile and eyes fixated on you.
"(Y/N)! You have no idea how happy I am right now."
He pushed himself off, and started walking towards you excitedly.
With each step he took, you could feel your breath start to waver and heartbeat quicken.
H...How does he know...
...Your school's location?
Everything was going so slow.
Him closing the distance between you.
More and more.
Why!?
WHY IS HE HERE!?
You inhaled sharply as he finally stood before you.
He looked down, with such a soft and kind expression on his face. "Did I surprise you?" He chuckled. "That was the plan."
Lifting one of his hands, he gently tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear.
...He's enjoying every second of the contact...
"How did you know I was here?" You questioned as calmly as you could.
"...I asked Rachelle."
Before you could ask more, he placed an arm around your waist and started directing you towards his car.
You tried convincing him. "No it's okay, I'll walk-"
"Don't worry. I came all this way so you wouldn't have to walk. I don't want you to get exhausted, specially under this heat."
He opened the car door and looked at you. "Your parents also asked me this as a favor."
Suddenly contemplating, you nodded and sat on the passenger seat. Once he secured your seatbelt, closed the door and was heading around the car, you secretly took out your cellphone and dialed 911, leaving it there in stand by in case of anything. Out of his sight.
Let's see what he wants.
As Vincent drove, he'd constantly glance at you.
"Its been so long since I last saw you." He sighed happily. "You look even more beautiful than what I'd remembered."
You remained silent.
"Did something happen to your phone? I sent you texts but I didn't receive any replies. Is it old? I can buy you a new one-"
"Are you gonna tutor Rachelle today? Since it seems you've recovered."
He kept quiet for a moment.
The atmosphere in the car is quite...tense.
"No, still feeling a little soar. But I can pick you up 'till you finish this semester-"
"Who told you where I was again?"
As you waited for his answer, you kept observing the road, more relaxed as you recognized the direction towards your house.
He chuckled nervously. "While your parents asked me for the favor, they explained and gave me directions."
"Hmph." You nodded.
That's not what he said earlier.
Why is he lying?
What's he trying to hide?
When the car approached and parked in front of your house, you were about to open the door until you heard a switch. Vincent locked it.
"What?" You instantly blurted out, irritated.
He looked at you confused. "I wanted...I was hoping to spend more time together."
You sighed and unlocked the door manually, stepping out. Then, you turned back to look at him. "Thank you Vincent, for being nice with me and giving me a ride. I value a lot our friendship."
He looked at you with wide eyes. You stepped back noticing how dark they suddenly turned.
"Well better go before Rachelle notices you're here. Bye." You closed the car door and headed straight to your house's entrance while fumbling to find the keys in your backpack. Unlocking it quickly, you got inside, and in that split moment of closing the door, you could see Vincent still in the same position, not moving at all, just glaring at you.
Did he get your indirect message?
