It was suppose to be a myth.
We were all so hard headed, I suppose that's why we refused to believe it until we saw it ourselves.
It swept through like nothing we had ever seen before. There was nowhere you could go to outrun it and nothing you could do once you got it.
It attacked every part of you, made your body turn on itself. It killed you so slowly. You didn't die until someone else was infected, you suffered, walking around like some sort of zombie until you gave it to someone else.
I guess that's why they didn't classify it as a virus.
They thought it acted like more of a parasite.
Some of us are immune, but the virus is changing everyday.
It's so smart, like nothing you've ever experienced, nor anything you could ever imagine.
But to make you understand, I need to take you back to where it first began...
