I run into his open arm's.
He comforts me.
His sweet, soothing voice fills my ears.
He tells me ," I'm here now. "
I feel safe as he holds me close to his chest with his big strong arm's.
His heart beat is like a soft drum.
His arm's are like a shield around me, protecting from harm.
He strokes my hair while he hums a song.
He keeps telling me, " Ssh, I'm here now. Nothing will hurt you."
I begin to calm down.
I tell him, " I love you daddy. " I hold him tight not wanting to let go.
I look up at him with tears in my face.
He dries them with his soft hands.
He tells me he'll always be here and he will never let go as he kisses my forehead.
As I calm down, he slowly begins to fade.
I stand alone crying.
A soft breeze blows across my face drying my tears.
I here a soft voice saying, " I'll never let go. "
I smile, knowing that I'm not alone anymore.
