Short stories/ One-shots book!

Adventure Island

(this was a story I wrote....many years ago. I just found it going through old books. I hope you like it! I'm just debating whether I should make a part 2 or not...)

Long ago on a distant island, was a little girl and her rabbits. The little girls' name was Holly May and her rabbits were called Patch and Starsky. Holly May was a very pretty and clever girl. She made herself a beautiful home made from bamboo shoots and leaves. Every day Holly would wake up at 7am; she got breakfast of fresh mangoes, bananas and coconut milk for herself and her rabbits, they loved their special time in the morning. Then together they all collected fire wood and fresh water to last them the day.

Patch was a very funny rabbit, this time in the morning he loved to put on his Hawaiian swimming shorts and have a lovely swim in the lagoon. Sometimes Starsky would join him but most of the time he liked to sit in the shade of the banana tree and read lovely stories from his thousands of books to Holly, Holly loved his stories and the funny voices he used to pretend to be the characters. But, the next night, there was a tsunami! Everybody escaped unscathed. But their home was destroyed! Patch and Starsky thought,"What can we do? We are in the middle of the sea and theres no..." There was a brief pause. "Land!" Holly shouted. "look, look! It looks like the island we were staying on, but that was destroyed." "First, we need to get over there,"Starsky whispered. They clambered onto the island. "Lets make a hut." Patch whispered.

1 hour later:

"The hut is built, and there's ice-cream!" "Yay!" Everyone shouted with glee, except from Starsky. "Is something wrong?" Holly asked. She quickly added," Are you hungry or thirsty? Sick!?" "The first two, you bet I am! Very tired too." "Well, we best eat our ice-creams up won't we, then we'll go to bed." Patch said, half-talking, half-yawning. "You're right," said Holly," we'll wake up fresh in the morning."
