The New Girl

Part 1

Katniss POV

" Katniss honey it's time to wake up! " mom yells from down stairs

I start getting up from bed and I go and put on a pair of miss me jeans and a random t shirt. I put my hair in a normal side braid and I brush my teeth so my breath does not stink.

I start to head down stairs and once I'm down there I see my twin brother Gale and my little sister Prim with my mother and my horrible stepfather Haymitch. Haymitch is not that horrible it's just that it is like he is trying to take the place of my real daddy.

" Good morning sweetheart " Haymitch says he has been calling me that since the day I met him. I am not so pleased with the nickname he gave me.

" Morning I wouldn't say it is a good one " I say

" Why is it not a good one ?" mother asks

" Because I am nervous for going to a new school in the middle of the school year. Why can't we just go back to Oklahoma?" I ask

" Because we are here because Haymitch got a good job here for the oil industry." My twin brother Gale say's

" Fine. Let's just go all ready! " I tell Gale

Prim and I get in the car with Gale. We are dropping off Prim at the middle school building. " Have a nice day at school, little duck I love you."

"I love you to Katniss, I love you Gale" Prim tells Gale and I before getting out of the car.

Gale rolls down his window and yells to prim and he say's " I love you to Prim! "

Next thing you know we are at the high school and I'm getting out of the car. Gale and I are walking in the building and find the principle's office to get our schedule's.

Gale already found his class and I'm trying to find my class. And the number say's 367 and I'm by the 200's then all of a sudden I'm knocked to the ground.
