7- Where were you?

I heard Rin's footsteps over the shower.

The lights turned on in the bathroom.

"Y/N I fixed the lights in here but why are you just sitting in the shower?"

"Where were you?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"When we were walking home and you skipped ahead. Where did you go?"

"I was still infront of you. You told me to slow down and wait up so I did."

"What?"

"I waited for you and once you caught up we started walking again. You seemed to be in a daze but I just thought you were tired from today."

Rin turned the shower off and helped me up.

"Now you answer my question. Why the hell are you in the shower?"

"My body hurt."

"What from?"

"It doesn't matter."

"Hmm well go get changed, I'm making dinner."

I grabbed my sword and left the room.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen. Rin was already helping Ukobach make dinner.

Rin walks out of the kitchen and to the table I was sitting at.

"Ukobach was getting frustrated with me and said that he'll finish dinner himself"

I nod my head and just kept on staring off.

"Is everything okay? You've been acting different since we left the school.... Is it because I said that you liked Yukio? Because I was just joking. I know you don't like him well I don't know I just hope you don't like my brother because that would just complicate things and-"

"I'm fine, okay. It wasn't about that, he's not even the person I have a crush on." I say back in frustration.

Ukobach brought our food out.

"Sorry about my tone." I say.

We finished our food and I headed up to my room.

Boxes were still everywhere.

I stood in front of my mirror and took my top shirt off revealing my tank top. I lift my tank top up.

'That's weird. Where are my wounds?'

Rin walks in.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I say pulling my tank top down.

"Sorry.... Can I talk to you?" Rin asks.

"Yeah, I guess."

Rin and I sat on my bed.

"Can you tell me what's really wrong with you?" Rin asked.

*sigh* "When we were walking home and you skipped ahead, I got a feeling that I was being watched. That's when I called for you but you we gone. I started to run but a demon appeared in front of me and threw me across the road. I got a lot of wounds which is why I was in the shower. The demon was gone when I got up and I found you outside waiting by the door. My wounds seemed to have disappeared though."

"That's really strange. I just saw you walking really slow behind me, I never saw any of that." Rin says.

"What if it shows up again? What if my wounds randomly come back?"

"Then I'll be there to take care of you. Y/N from now on I won't let anyone lay a hand on you." Rin says

Rin gave me a reassuring hug.

"Now get some rest, we have training with Yukio tomorrow."

"Wait Rin, do you mind uh sleeping in here with me? Just for precautions...."

"Sure, I guess it's alright."

I scoot over and Rin gets into my bed.

I made sure that we weren't touching by practically laying in the crack of my bed between the wall.

"Good night"

"Good night" I say back.
