We Have To Wait.... Ch. 8

Dave POV:
All American
Phone rings... rings... rings... rings...

Is he even going to answer, this is important.

Final I hear a voice...

"Hello....?" Mike says tiredly.

"Dude where you asleep?" I ask. Why on earth would he be sleeping at 1pm?

"Don't judge me..." he says with a yawn.

"Ok well you want to be awake for what am I about to say..." I said kind of worryingly and pace the room.

I heard him blow out a huge sigh. "It's not another Victoria problem, is it?" He yawned again

"In ways yes...." I paused pacing and talking, trying to figure out how to say this.

"Hello?... You know you could just tell her, you like her" He said kinda annoyed.

"No not that...." I say thinking. "The dark brothers are in town..." Sounds kinda chesse the way I said it, but it doesn't matter, this is important.

I heard a crash on the other side of the phone.

A slight yell "What!?! You have go to be kidding me? Dosent that mean the princess is here to? Have they found her before we have?" He said all at once hurting my ear.

"Dude don't yell, you going to bust my ear drum." I huffed

"This is serious, they could have the princess!!!" He said worryingly.

He was definitely awake now. I rolled my eyes.

"Dude! Calm down. I have the princess she is safe!" I said so he would calm down.

"I will not calm down!" He yelled. I had to pull the phone away from my ear. "Wait..." he paused, I put the phone back up to my ear.

By this time I was leaning against the kitchen wall.

"You have the princess?" He asked questionly.

"Yes I do and she is safe, for now anyways..." I sighed.

"Wait... who is the princess...? We have been looking for her forever, and now she aprears out of nowhere?" He asked kinda weirded out.

"It's Victoria..." I say

"What!!!???!!! No freaking way!!!!" He yelled into phone once again.

"Yes freaking way, she has the most beautiful powers. She is beautiful." That last part I didn't mean to say out loud.

"No wonder we were both drawn to her..." he ignored the last thing I said. Thank god.

"That's what I was thinking to, but she can't stay here for long... what should we do?" I asked

"I will have to go see the council and talk to my dad. That might take a week or so, maybe just a few days." He thought.

"The princess is safe with me. But do hurry...." I say kinda urgent.

"Ok I will, I will pack right now and head out." I heard stuff being moved around. "Stay with her at all times, I will inform her mom also that she must stay with the council." He said informative.

"Ok got it." It seemed kinda weird, we barley just meet and I am going to be staying at her house? But I will be nice, I get to spend more time with her and I have to protect her.

"ok, I will call you when I am ready to come get you. Bye." He said.

"Bye, be safe," I said and then the phone hung up. I sighed.

Victoria POV:

I snuck in to listen to the conversation.

Every second of hearing the conversation, I keep getting more confused.

Eventually he hung up and I heard a big sigh.

I tired to hurry away but I heard him turn around. I turned to look at him guilty.

"Sorry," I say looking down, twiddling my thumbs.

"No, no, it's ok I should have let you listen," he walk close to me and lifted up my chin to look at him.

I kinda lost my breath for a second.

"So your my protector?" I asked kinda breathless with a smirk, raising an eye brow.

"That what I have been trained my hole life for," he smiled and his hand was now caressing my face.

I closed my eyes, taking in his soft hand. I pushed my face to his hand and put my hand on his.

I opened my eyes, seeing he was watching my every move. I blushed, but I didn't let this moment give into what I wanted to know.

I looked into his eye with yearn.

"Tell me everything."
