Mum, your small words of encouragement and constant reminder of how proud you are of me were always the little pushes that kept me moving forward. You always told me to do what made me happy, well, here it is. Thank you.
Dad, thank you for getting me interested in history from a young age. A lot of this book is inspired by real events in our world, and I couldn't have found my greatest inspiration without you.
You've both been my rocks, Dan and Alex, and you've always listened to me rattle on about my writing to the most ridiculous lengths. If I ever got bored or angry at myself, trapped in that little room writing away, I knew that I could always come downstairs for a cuppa and a chinwag to remind me that I'm not alone.
Luke and Lauren, you are the only couple I will ever agree to be a third wheel to. You are two of the most important people in my life. Our love of wine and fun times are huge part of my writing. You have always been there for emotional support in my darkest of times to shine the light. Thank you.
And, last but definitely not least, you. This text is four years inthe making and now all those months of planning, dreaming and talking to myselfare finally paying off. You, reader, are why I do what I do. I can't thank youenough for that.
