Bend or Break

Chapter 1: game day

 Annie's P.O.V.

"Hey Annie, do you need a ride home?" Nick asked. Our dads were best friends -well before him and my mom seperated- which made us pretty close. He's like my protective older brother that I've never had. I only have a little brother. Oh and my older sister, Carlie but she's traveling around the world. That was her plan before settling down and going to college. She's taking a year off with her friends to find herself I guess.

I nodded, "yeah, let me just get my stuff."

"I thought you were going to the tailgate party." Emi said confused. "Yeah, I was going to but then I realized we leave tomorrow for vacation and I still haven't packed so I'm going to take advantage of these two hours and pack."

"Oh, well Sarah and I are going to go meet up with Ryland if you get back early."

I nodded, "have fun." I picked up my books and met up with Nick at his car.

"So what are you doing for fall break?" Nick asked as we pulled out of campus. "I am going on trip to Florida with Ryland, Emi, Sarah, and Brice. And you?"

"Hanging out with Conner and Dustin."

"No Michelle?" I teased smirking. He scoffed, "yeah. right."

Michelle is his ex girlfriend. They absolutely hate each other now. You'll find out why later.

After a moment of comfortable silence, I turned the radio on and plugged in my iphone and put it on shuffle. The first song to come on was Hello Good Morning. We always roll the windows down and try to act all 'gansta'.

"I JUST BE LIKE HELLO HELLO BUT I NEVER COULD SALUTE THEM. YOUNG MONEY I DO IT FOR THE YOUTH YEAH."

We don't live far away so by the end of the song, we were entering the neighborhood.

"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go grab my shorts for the game tonight." Nick said as I was getting out of the car.  "Okay see you in a bit." I walked into my house, feeling it empty. Mom's at work and my brother is probably on his way home with his friends right now. I walk upstairs to my room and set my books on my desk. I throw on my shorts for tonight, get my suitcase, and turn on my ipod.

"You got a pricetag hanging on the back of your dress. You got your shoes undone and you're hair is a mess but no one sees you like I do.."

I quickly threw my clothes and toiletries for the next week into it the suitcase. Just as I was zipping my suitcase, I heard the door open. It's either my brother and his friends or Nick. I listened for noise and there wasn't any. It's Nick.

"It's been like 10 minutes and you already have your stuff packed..."

"yeah, because I already knew what I wanted to pack. I'm just good like that."

He simply nodded, "you ready to head back to school?"

I nodded and grabbed my phone. As we were walking downstairs my brother and his friends came through the door. "Hey Dalton." "Hey Nick." They exchanged greetings. "We're going back to school now for the game so be good."

"Okay, okay." He rolled his eyes.

When we got back to school, Nick went to ripstick with Conner, Dustin, and a few other friends of his in the parking lot while I walked into the band room to meet up with Emi and Sarah. "How was the tailgate party?"

"Good" Sarah started giggling like crazy. "....did I miss something..?"

"Nope, you missed nothing" Emi smiled creepily. "right, well I'm going to go get into my uniform.."

"Okay, we'll meet you in there" As I walked away I heard Emi start laughing and saying something but it was muffled by their laughter mixed. What are they hiding? You know what..I don't even want to know.

After the game was finished (which we unfortunately lost) and I was waiting for Sarah and Emi to get out of their uniforms, I texted Ryland.

Annie: so why were sarah and emi giggling like maniacs tonight? what did i miss? care to tell me?

RyRy:P : nothing, you'll find out soon enough ;)

Annie: WHAT DID YOU DO? I AM GOING TO KILL YOU WHEN I FIND OUT

RyRy:P : no u won't. you'll be thanking me ;)

Annie: u just wait until tomorrow

RyRy:P : no u wait until tomorrow ;)

Annie: grrrr if i lose sleep tonight, it's because of u

RyRy:P : didnt know u felt that way about me ;)

Annie: haha ur so funny please note my sarcasm and stop with the winking

RyRy:P : bye see u tomorrow

Annie: if you even see tomorrow

RyRy:P : oooh im so scared

I rolled my eyes and locked my phone just as Nick came gliding this way. "Ready?"

"Yeah, Emi's coming over though."

"okay lets go."

"see you later guys" Sarah said as she walked out ahead of us.

Sorry it's short and kind of boring but it'll get better! What do you think Emi, Sarah, and Ryland are keeping from Annie? hmm

oh yeah, also I'll be attemting to upload a new chapter every week. Since it was posted on thursday, I may be uploading on thursdays since after school practice is almost over or maybe I'll post it on tuesday since today is wednesday. I don't know.. anyway..tell me how you like this story. I kind of like writing stories like this when celebrities aren't involved in it. Because I don't have to perfect the celebrities parts and make sure it fits them or really worry about getting a run down with the story if I'm over them for awhile because I've been obsessing for far too long. Does that happen to anyone else?
