Let The Games Began Chapter 3

    I stood there, totally shocked and frozen, my Mom had just done what I was fearing, she just kissed my history teacher! Which meant she had moved on, moved on from Dad, moved on from him and replaced him with my cocky, arrogant, jerk of a history teacher.

    When my mom pulled back, Quade's gaze had met mine, he gave away a mischevious grin and winked at me. My hands were balled into tight fists, I was furious! That son of a cow had the nerve to wink at me! I grabbed Jake's arm and pulled him staright up stairs to my room, after locking the door I began talking.

    "Quade...needs to be taught a lesson!" I growled, making Jake immediately wince at my tone. The fact that Quade would ever go this low to get back at me was infuriating, how could he think that he could take me down without a fight, Danielle Summers isn't an easy target for people to prey on. He wants to fight then I say Bring. It. On.

    Danielle Summers can take on any challenge and win, no matter what lengths she has to go to. Clad Quade, get ready for a challenge of a lifetime, where you will lose and I will win. Where you'll have to leave and I'll have to sit back and watch the show, like it's always been.

                                                     *       *       *

    We were sitting at the dining table everyone waiting for my mom to come, a comfortable silence fell through the room, but me, I was glaring at Quade, which he didn't seem to notice.

    "Dinner is served!" My Mom set the food dish directly in the middle, she was smiling far too much since she kissed the devil. "Looks good!" Quade and Jake said together, raising my eye brow at Jake, I grabbed a fork and began eating.

    "Mom, I never knew you were such a great cook, this is awesome," and it was too, you see normally Dad and I usually did all the cooking in the house because Mom was always so busy, and when Mom cooked you could say the longest I've been in the bathroom would be forty minutes.

    Quade who was sitting across from me suddenly smirked, I didn't know why, but thought it was his usual habit, and stuffed my mouth with another spoonful.

    ''Oh, thank you honey, but I didn't cook that, Quade did,'' I suddenly choked on my food while coughing up a storm. Jake who hid a smile, patted my back until I regained control.

    "You didn't cook that?" I squeaked. "Uh-uh, Quade did, all I cooked was this deformed dessert." At the far end of the table stood the deformed dessert my Mom had made, and I just enjoyed Quade's cooking. Quade was looking at me, covering a laugh with a cough.

    "On second thought, the food is pretty terrible, the spice is a little too much and there is no salt." I said.

    "Danielle! Behave," she says.

    "Never!" Too bad I said that in my head.

    "It's okay, some people just have no taste in good food." came quade's reply. I stood up and left the dining table, there was no use in arguing with my Mom, after all she was a lawyer, and Quade, he was just a big, fat, jerk!.

    "Operation dispose-of-the-devil is ready to launch, do you copy, over," Crouched behind the stairwell, I quickly sneak out of my house, while meeting Jake by Quade's car.
