For as long as I can remember I have always had this fear of rejection. I am not exactly sure how this became about, but it stuck with me ever since. In today's society people with disabilities are constantly looked down upon. As I started to grow older I noticed the world being a cruel and hurtful place, the mean stares and constant questions. The realization hit me when I was at my school and happen to be sitting by myself for lunch that day. I remember just sitting eating my lunch listening to the casual conversations of my peers. Hoping to one day have the confidence to ask someone to sit with me. For those of you who are struggling with it here are a few ways to learn how to deal with. Now, before you continue on I want to clarify that I am still struggling with it,but I learned to deal with it.
Tip #1
Remember the fear of rejection will always be there, but you can't let it overtake your life. Go out and try new things or met people. Putting yourself out in society helps you become more confident and have a purpose in life. When I first started High school I told myself I wanted to be involved in my school. The following year I joined the school Newspaper and got involved with our theatre department. This kept me very busy and I am so glad I was apart of these great organizations
Tip #2
Finding Beauty Within:
This is extremely hard to find because you may already feel like nobody likes you or feel worthless. But Remember the worst hater you can ever have is yourself, beauty isn't just about how you look or what you wear. Your beauty is defined who you are as a person in the inside. Once you realize your self worth you can better tackle the fear of rejection.
Lastly, Whether you have a disability or not everyone at some point is going to rejected. It is just a natural thing that every human goes through. All you can do is remain to be the great person you are. Continue to take risk and put yourself out there! Life is to short to be stuck in fear and be all alone.
Until next time
Go be beautiful my loves <3
