They were back. Again. In a class that made no difference. Again.
Sade picked her favourite purple seat to sit in once more, this time a new face joining them.
He was tall, but not too tall, and skinny, but not too skinny. His hair was also a spectacular display of multi-coloured goodness.
It looked as if the galaxy swirled atop his head.
"Ladies, we have a new student."
Mr.Quinn turned to this prisoner; eyes full of hope. "Would you like to introduce yourself, new student?"
He sighed, his bad posture evident as he slumped.
"My name's, uh, Agni, I'm seventeen, and I like boxing."
"Hello, Agni. This is Sade Ray, and this is Hasna."
Hasna gave a shy wave while Sade sat stiffly.
"So how are you doing today, Agni? What's going on?"
His empty stare reached Mr.Quinn's, arms crossed loosely.
"Not much, kinda sad, kinda bored."
"Why are you sad, Agni?"
His arms tightened and Sade noticed that his breathing became quicker.
"I-I'd rather not talk about it. It's really personal."
"That's fine, if you feel ready you can tell us."
Agni nodded and Mr.Quinn stood up.
"So let's get class started, shall we?"
