Sade arrived early, or so she thought as in neither Mr.Quinn or Agni were there.
However, Hasna sat in her usual yellow plastic chair, as anxious as ever.
Sade strode over to her proudly, hands hanging out of tight jean pockets. She sat down loudly, looking over to see Hasna cower, even if it was hard to notice.
"Hey."
"Hi." Her response was quick and half-hearted, but this would not disturb Sade a bit from having a decent conversation.
"What's up?"
"Oh nothing, um, bored. I want class to start soon. Wh-what about you?"
A mild shrug. "Eh. I could be better, you know? I hope he doesn't show so I can leave early. Don't get me wrong I love Mr.Quinn, but I'm too tired to do any of the exercises."
"Yeah. They do get tiring after a while."
As Sade gazed at her, she could almost swear that Hasna was relaxing.
"Hasna."
"Hm?"
"Tell me something."
"What?"
"What're your hobbies; what do you like to do?"
"I guess I like t.v. And videogames too."
"Yeah, but specifically."
"Oh. For, uh, t.v I like Steven Universe, and Rick and Morty, and The Amazing World of Gumba-"
"So a lot of cartoons?"
Hasna's amber eyes turned away, head down slightly and those beautiful eyes of hers being hidden by a curtain of loose, kinky, brown hair.
"I know it seems childish and I should really act my age. Don't worry I hear it all the time."
Sade shook her head in disappointment. "Why aren't you confident in the things you like? Who cares if you like cartoons or that they're meant for kids? You like them! You aren't doing anything wrong by watching a cat and fish! Don't feel bad for being you."
Hasna's eyes now sparkled brightly, face flushed with happiness and smile as broad as the sky.
