It had been about a month since Derek and I started talking. We hung out every day since.
Saturday 2:30pm.
Progress reports have came in the mail. Tori and I were sitting on the couch looking over our grades she smiled bright as I sat there in shock at my grades.

History A
Music D-
English A+
D- in music? That's what I'm studying. Why am I failing so badly? Spending too much time with Derek.
I needed to bring my grade up before my report card came out.
"What are your grades, Ray?" Tori asked as she was highly satisfied with her grades. She was always that person to have A's. Her progress report were all A's.

Monday 8:30 am
I sped into Mr. Rainer's class seeing him sitting down at his desk.
"Ah, Ms. Alexander. I need to speak to you." He said as he leaned back in his chair. "I've noticed that your grades have been slipping.. What's going on?" He asked concerned looking directly towards me.
"I've just been so busy I haven't been paying attention in class." I honestly admitted. "Is there anything I can do to bring my grade up before report cards are released?"
I watched as mr. Rainer shifted in his seat. "Extra credit."
I've never done extra credit before..
"Okay.." I trailed off.
"Or.." He started as he made his way to me. His eyes were darker than before. His hand slipped on my waist looking into my Hazel hues. "You could do something to bring your grade up." He said with a smirk.
I stood there in shock for a moment. Was he really just asking for sex?
"Mr. Rainer are you seriously asking me for sex right now?" Girl, If I do this I wouldn't just bring my grade up I could bring Derek's up too.. Hmm..
Mr. Rainer just looked at me his hands gripped a hold of my waist and moved me to sit on his desk. Our lips made contact.

9:45am
The bell rings..
I sat at my desk crossing my legs looking over the fake extra credit mr. Rainer has gave me to fool my friends. I got him to bring my grade up and Derek's for the report card.
You know exactly what I had to do to bring both grades up.
The class room flooded with the students. Derek sat beside me again so I didn't have to sit beside Becky's side kick like I had been.
He placed his back pack on his desk and then sat on the edge of my desk and I looked up at him. His smile took over his features. I couldn't smile, not after what I just done to get our grades up.
His smile turned into a concerned frown, "what's wrong, Ray?"
"Nothing, j-just a little tired that's all." I lied looking down at the paper in front of me.
If Derek found out I slept with a teacher I'm sure he would completely abandon me.
The second bell rings and class begins.
I couldn't pay attention in class, Mr. Rainer was eye balling me and every time his eyes landed on me I would look away.
This class just HAS to be an hour long.. Fuck.
That hour felt like forever but when that bell rang I was quick to grab my bag and rush out of the room. I had to get away from Mr. Rainer.
"Raven slow down." I heard a voice call out to me. I stopped and turned around noticing Swazz and Skate walking towards me. I needed to vent.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" Skate's voice rose four notches, "Raven that is the dumbest shit I think you've done all year!" He now was yelling.
I felt my tongue fall down my throat cutting off my air way... Not literally.
"Nathan, listen I had to do what I had to do I can't flunk the subject I'm studying." I said defending the decision I made.
"What if Derek finds out?" Swazz said as he fiddled with the food on his plate.
Gross ass school lunch, why didn't he just go to subway with me and Nate..
I picked at the sandwich in front of me, "I've been thinking of what to say to him if he finds out."
"If I find out what?" Derek's voice was clear and very close.
Fuck.
I turned and he was there behind me, "nothing, what are you doing here aren't you supposed to be in your math class?"
"Yeah but I got a bathroom pass and wanted to come see you." He said with a mysterious smile.
I smiled and got up going with Derek to the other side of the cafeteria abandoning Swazz and Nathan.
We sat at a table that was designed for two people. Derek took my hands in his and he looked at me, "what's going on with you? You sped out of Rainer's class so fast earlier and your whole attitude is different."
I should lie and say I'm sick but, if I keep lying to him this whole friendship that I swear is slowly blossoming into a relationship will be based off of lies.. I need to tell him the truth.. Do it Ray.
I pressed my lips together and held onto his hands, "Derek.. I-"
"Raven Alexander?" I heard someone call it to me.
I looked over my shoulder and saw that the assistant principal was headed towards me.
I looked back at Derek. He mouthed to me was I in trouble and I shrugged my shoulders. I let his hands go whispering, "get back to class." He nodded and walked out of the cafeteria.
Standing up I felt my heart sinking into my stomach. Mrs. Hilton folded her arms as she looked at me.
Wait.. Mrs. Hilton.. Must be Rebecca's mom.
"Come with me." She said walking us out of the cafeteria and into her office.
"Have a seat Raven."
I sat down and placed my bag on the floor. I was so nervous that I could feel my body shaking.
"Raven.. My daughter Rebecca tells me that she saw you in Mr. Rainer's class room this morning. In an interaction that was unnecessary and prohibited."
Shit, I knew I would get caught... I can't get kicked out of UCLA this is my dream school. But I didn't want anything to happen to Rainer either. I need to figure something out. Quick.
