Derek and I haven't spoken in a few weeks. He hasn't sat beside me in class. He won't answer my phone calls, nothing.
Becky was back in school after about a week and I kept seeing Derek hanging around her. He was smiling and laughing it up with her.
I was walking around in the hallway texting one of my friends back in Florida updating her on everything that had happened.
"Raven." I heard from the distance. Skate.
"What?" I said as I turned to him when he got close.
"Look I know I'm not your favorite person right now but-"
I felt a bump. A hard one. I turned. Becky and Derek.
His arm was around her and they both glared at me.
"Watch where you're going Alexander." Becky sternly spoke to me.
Ooo, I should yank her by her golden locks.
I scoffed and walked off.
I was disgusted by those two.
"Maybe you need to watch where you're walking." Skate exclaimed to them.
"Mind your own, Maloley." Derek interfered.
I turned and Skate and Derek were neck in neck.
Profanity. Pushing. Swing.
Skate struck Derek right in the jaw.
My heart sank.
"Stop!" I yelled as I stepped in between the two pushing them apart.
Derek flew in knocking me out the way as he pinned skate up against the wall.
"Stop it." Becky said as she tried to get the two apart.
Punches. Pain.
Becky and I both tried to get them apart but we both got hit in the process. I held my cheek.
"Cut it out! Knock it off!" A teacher exclaimed pulling the two apart. The campus police pulled the two away from each other.
My jaw was pounding in pain. I started to get enraged in anger.

After school I went straight home not saying a word to skate. I had to drive him to my place so he could be with Tori.
We got inside and I instantly went upstairs and knocked on Tori's bedroom door.
"Come in." She called out.
I walked into her room dropping my bag by the door as I closed it.
"You need to get your boy." I sternly spoke.
Tori looked at me, "what happened to your face?"
My jaw was swollen. It hurt.
"I got hit." I said as I sat at her computer desk.
"By who?" She asked as she sat up straight studying my cheek.
"Skate." I simply said
She looked at me shock took over her face, "what?"
Skate walked into the room, "it was an accident."
"You shouldn't have fought Derek."
"His bitch shouldn't have bumped you."
"Stop." Tori said breaking up the argument. "explain to me what happened."
I explained everything that happened.

After explaining myself Skate and I got into an argument and I ended our friendship.
I left the house and drive over to the Starbucks. I parked my car and got out walking into the building. I stood in line.
"Look who came out of her turtle shell." I heard and turned.
Derek. Tyler. Kevin... Rebecca.
I quickly turned back and I ordered my coffee and waited for it.
Tyler came to me and put his hand on my shoulder. I shrugged him off, "don't touch me." I said as I snatched myself away from him
"Mami listen, Derek wanted me to tell you he's sorry and he wants to make it up to you. He couldn't tell you himself because well.. Rebecca is around." Tyler explained.
"you tell that fucker I said to fuck off okay?" I said as I heard my name get called and I grabbed my coffee and walked out to my car.
I sat in my car and drank my coffee looking through my Twitter feed. Derek myself skate and Swazz were the talk of the school.
I put my phone done and took a sip of my coffee.
Knock knock knock.
I turned and saw Derek by my passenger side window.
I sighed and unlocked the car letting him get in.
"Hey." He said as he closed the door when he got in.
"What do you want Derek, I'm trying to go home."
"Hear me out okay?"
He tried to explain himself about the party and how him and Becky weren't supposed to do what they were doing to today in the hall when Becky bumped me and the fight broke out. I didn't fall for his bullshit. I was catching onto his game.
"Stop. Just.. Stop. Derek.. You think I'm dumb? You think I don't see this little game you're playing with me? Every time something happens between us you fall into Becky's lap. Vice versa. I'm not trying to be the side chick. I'm trying to keep my good reputation." I explained.
"You weren't trying to keep your good reputation when you were on Rainer's dick." He lashed back.
I froze. Tears.
"Just go." I said as I hid behind my hair that fell over my shoulders when I looked down.
Door opens. Closes.
I turned on the car and drove home.
I never thought he would use that against me but he did. I want to call it quits with Derek but truth be told... I fell in love.
