About twenty minutes later the police arrived.
"Hello I'm Sargent Nicholas, and I'm working on the case of Sammy smiths death." The man said as we let him in. Mum and Sydney where out so me and dad had the place to ourselves.
"Would you like a tea or coffee?" Dad asked.
"Could I have a coffee please with one sugar?"
"Yeah sure."
Dad was making the drinks and Sargent Nicholas asked me some questions.
"Ok Lewis so you tell me you know who stabbed Sammy smith."
"Yeah he admitted it to me."
I said nervously.
"Could you tell me who it is?"
"Yeah it was Charlie Brown."
I said. I was glad I got his name off my chest. Now I just got to tell them what happened.
"Ok. Do you want to tell me what happened."
"Ok. So I was sat at home, and Charlie rang me." I said, my voice was stuttering.
"And what did he say?" Sargent Nicholas asked me.
"He told me he done something stupid and for me to meet him on the field. So I grabbed my things and ran to the field. When I got there he was staring at his hands, they were covered in blood. And next to him was...was a knife and that had blood all over the blade. I heard someone crying for help and it was Sammy. When I went over to her Charlie ran off."
I took another deep breath as the officer took notes.
"Did he tell you why he done it?"
"Yeah on the day of her funeral which was earlier in today."
"And what was his reason?"
Dad walked back in with the drinks and sat down next to me.
"Well Sammy really liked me and I liked her. But the only problem was, Charlie liked her as well. And she was going to come and see me to ask me out. Charlie saw Sammy walking to mine and asked her where she was going. When he found out he told me that he stabbed her."
I felt a tear run down my cheek. I quickly wiped it away.
"Ok what else happened?"
"Well after he told me that, I punched him in the face and he fell to the floor. I ran until I got home. And that's about it."
I didn't tell them that I had been drinking but I remembered it that was the main thing.
"Ok thank you for tell me. I will be in touch with you in about 10 days."
"Ok thank you so much." Dad said showing the police officer out.
I was so glad I got that off of my chest. I just hope Charlie gets what he deserves, he won't get away with killing Sammy.
I went up to my room and got my phone. I was scrolling through Facebook and there was a campaign to get whoever killed Sammy (I'm the only one who knows it was Charlie.) locked up.
And I saw that loads of celebrities had been supporting it, the lead singer in The 1975 (Matthew healey) had shared it and he wrote a status about it. It said 'it's horrible to hear that someone so young has been killed. There is no humanity left in people these days, I hope loved ones are coping well. Nobody deserves to die R.I.P Sammy 😇🙏🏻👼🏻.'

A massive smile appeared on my face. I knew that if Sammy was here and saw it she would be so happy.
