"I can go light some candles. You have your phone right?" Jacks voice was calm, "Yeah?" "Get the flashlight up. I need to see where the candles are" he laughed.

"Heh" I didn't like the dark. The feeling of something completely closing in on me. Completely swallowing me. Completely making me feel alone. I hate it.

I put my hands down to my pockets, soon realizing I didn't have my sweat pants on. "Uhm, my phones in the bathroom, along with my rest of my stuff"

"Uhm, okay, here" I felt a hand wrap around mine, I tensed up as my heart began to beat faster, not a whole lot, but enough for me to notice.

"Jack," "yes?" "I really don't like the dark" "I can tell"

The sound of steady breathing and rain filled the house. "They're right, straight" "I could make a gay joke but I'm not going to" I laughed, stepping forward until I felt clothing wrap around my leg.

"Found it" I fumbled around in the pockets until I found it.

"Perfect" the light showed jacks facial features significantly, one thing that stood out was the scar on his eyebrow.

"How'd you get that?" I asked, walking behind him, "what?" "The scar, on your eyebrow" "oh, that, just a child hood accident, don't really remember what happened"

We stopped at the cupboard, lots of crashes and bangs coming from the front of him.

"Why did you dye your hair?" "It was a thing that Mark, Felix and I all planned" "I like it"

He grabbed a little bowl with an orange candle in the middle.

"Do you have any cards?" "Yeah, in the top shelf over there" he pointed.

"I'll meet you in the living room" he smiled.

I hate the way he smiles, I don't like the feeling it gives me.

"What time is it?"

"I don't know. Look at your phone" Jack muttered, obviously frustrated at the candle not lighting.

Jeez, how do I make conversation. Really?! 'What time is it' dumbass, you have a phone in your hand.

"Yes!" Jack cheered, shaking his hand so the flame on the lighter can extinguish itself.

I've been here for hours, just huddled into Jacks chest.

I've had a few calls, but I didn't pick up.

Jack feel asleep while we were just talking.

Talking about life.

Talking about parents.

About Josh.

Josh still doesn't like Jack, Jack still doesn't like Josh.

I don't know what Josh told him but whatever it was ticked him off.

The candle was almost out and the power still wasn't back on.

My phone is on 3% present and there's no way of me getting back home at 4 in the morning.

His house was creepy at night. The way it creaked in the wind.

His house was also cozy.

Tonight's going to be a sleepless night, I can't already tell, but at least it's not going to be spent alone.
