Chapter 34

-Lucy

Lost in my thoughts 10:46 a.m..

I love him.

But business is business!

Elzie is the only one that can take me away from all of this, but I'm far too deep.

My phone rings.

It's Brad. I have to take this call.

"If this isn't about work, I don't want to hear it!" I say to him with meaning.

"I have what you need." He says.

"Send them to my spot!" I demand. I hang up my phone, then call Elzie.

"Lucy Lu." He says when he picks up. My heart flutters.

"Hey baby. I missed you." I say in a spoiled-like whining voice.

"You need daddy?" He teases, and I can't help but blush.

"I need daddy.."I say in a small voice.

I'm still extremely shy at times with him. He has that effect on me.

He chuckles at my response.

"Is everything okay?" He asks.

"It is." I say to him.

"What is it Lucy?"

"I want to go to the movies tonight." I say.

"It's your world Lu." I melt at the words that's crawling into my ear.

He's so perfect.

"I'll meet you at your place by 9pm. You can pick a movie this time." I say to him.

"Thank God!" He responds.

"Whatever!" I scoff. Thinking back at when I picked a movie, I cried terribly. He laughs loud.

"My Lucy Lu, Is that an attitude?" He says while still laughing. I'm smiling hard and my cheeks starts to hurt.

"It is." I lie.

"I can't wait to see you." He says in a low voice. I blush even harder.

"I'll see you later." I whisper to him. I hang up. I take a deep breath.

"Granddaddy, I'm sorry..." I whisper.

Now part of Lucy wanted to ignore Brad's phone call, but she knew that it had to involve levy. Her mentality revolved around money.

Finance was a great part of her life, but so was Elzie, since they became an statue.

She had secrets that she'd have to reveal to him before he finds out in an even more negative way.

Elzie on the other hand wasn't blinded by the pattern.

He was just like her.

He actually decided to wait for her to admit certain things to him. Though he hated secrets, he didn't want to dash her. But then again, as her man, he at least needed to know how serious it could be for her safety, and trust played a big part that was absent from the relationship.

Meanwhile, Lucy is in a white pencil dress that stops above her knees with a pair of white and gray heels on. Her hair is defined from a fresh twist out, and of course, there's a big white bow clamped in it.

She meets up with Brad at her spot.

And not to mention, It's hard for most to find.

She parks her car, and gets into another car with Brad, and they drive 10 miles to get to the destination. The ride was quiet, until Brad decided to speak.
