A/N: Wow! So I first want to say that, despite the fact that I'm going to make this as quick as humanly possible, it's still probably going to be fairly long, so buckle up your seatbelt, and get ready for a lot of half-way useful information, as well as what's going to probably be an incredibly sappy dedication (though I don't really know, because I have yet to write it). So to start off with the information...
1. Please, please, please, please, PLEASE, do not copy my story! I know that all of the people who read this are insanely creative, phenomenal writers, who could make something that's both incredible, but also completely unique. If you would like to write something (i.e. a sequel, spinoff, etc.) that relates to my story, please contact me in some way to ask me if I'm okay with it. I would like to quickly point out, just in case you were wondering, that yes, I am Fawn (also note that my real name is Kaitlyn just in case I end up using my name for something) from Fawn_Aspen, so I promise I did not steal the idea for Rooftop, because it's my idea, I'm just writing my third draft on a new account.
2. IMPORTANT: The story I'm writing does in fact deal with subjects of abuse (focusing mostly on the affects of it, never actually seeing any of it happen) and, if reading about abuse is a trigger for you PLEASE DO NOT READ MY STORY! I never want to hurt you, or trigger you, or do anything that would affect you negatively, so please, don't allow me to. Also, if I say something completely incorrect about the topic, please correct me, as, while I have done quite a bit of research on the topic, attempting to understand it the best I possibly can, I may have misunderstood something. And, in addition to that, research can never hold a candle to real life experiences.
3. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental. I would like to quickly point out that Carpinteria, California is in fact a real place, and some of the shops and place mentioned there are in fact real, however, like it states above in that fun little disclaimer I copied from the internet, it has been used fictitiously.
4. And finally, if you ever see any spelling, punctuation, or grammar errors, or think that something just doesn't make a ton of sense, please point it out to me, because, as much as I honestly try to go through and perfect those types of mistakes in my story before I post it on Wattpad, occasionally I miss a few things, and if you would just write a comment, showing me what I did wrong, I'd be more than happy to fix it.
Dedication: This story is dedicated to all of my amazing friends that somehow put up with me writing it. Despite this being pretty much all I ever talk about anymore, they still love me, listen to me, and help me out by reading through plot lines, character charts, and rough drafts, always putting their all into helping me make this story the best it can possibly be. So thank you guys so much, and just know that I love you more than anything else in the whole world.
