My eyes drift along the mirror looking at my bow tie writing to see if it was on right . I didn't know if I was dressing to classy for the first day of high school , but I wanted to make a good impression . I felt my phone buzzing so I quickly pulled it out I scan the screen ;
* Face Time Call from Mother Dearest 💓 * I slide the answer button as fast as I could
" hi mom "
" hi babe , are you at school yet "
" no I'm getting ready now "
" okay where's your sister , she's supposed to be driving "
I look over to Lily's room and I can still see her purple mop of head lying in the hallway adjacent to her room
" She's ..... in he shower right now "
" I swear to god with the both of you alone you guys going to be late for everything "
" Well then you shouldn't have left us "
" I know but it's just for a little while "
" 3 years is not a little while mom " I say as my voice starts to strain and tears come rushing to my eyes
" oh Cade don't cry sweetie I promise time is just going to fly by and I'll be back before you know it "
I hear her voice crack at the end
" okay mom now I really have to go before the kick us out on the first day "
" alright sweetie , be good and tell your sister how much I love you guys "
" okay bye mom , I love you too . See you soon "
I hang up the call and lock my phone . Mom being away was always hard , but she's out there fighting for our country so maybe it was worth it { btw their mom is also single } .
i get off of my bed and walk towards Lily's room but now she's rolled over so she's face up , last nights make up smeared all over her face .

I crouch down to her level , I can start to hear her snore . Gosh I don't know how we're related , then I remember something I saw on Twitter a while ago . I sneak down stairs to grab a few things to wake my sister up ...
I return up stairs a few moments later with two pans in my hands . I take a deep breath before screaming at the top of my lungs
" I DIDNT GET NO SLEEP CAUSE OF YALL "
i see Lily roll around quickly , banging her purple head into the the bed frame
" SO YALL NOT GOIN GET NO SLEEP CAUSE OF ME "
I feel something grab my ankle and before I know it I'm face first on the floor while Lily mumbles something incoherently
" What did you say " I sass to her
i watch as her face appears out of the purple mess she calls her head
" I SAID SHUT UP DORK "
I look around the floor and I point to myself while looking at her in her face and mouth to her
" me ? "
" shut up twerp " She replies trying to be all intimidating and shit
" nothing dum dum now hurry up & get ready before we get expelled

We finally leave after what felt like years of Lily in the shower She finally started to 'actually' get ready while she put on her signature Light Wash Jean Jacket over a white sleeveless crop top and some short Jean booty shorts followed by a pair of white vans before she started her vigorous make up process that would have being completely late to our first day of school .
I walk back into my room , staring at my self in the mirror I looked at my Over Sized Glasses to my basic white collared shirt with suspenders to my dark blue jeans and my black converse then my eyes bounce back up to my black bow tie which was just ever so slightly off towards the right so I quickly adjust it back into place . I decided to keep my hair messy today , mostly because I didn't feel like gelling it up today . I go to grab my bag and I start packing it while I hear a honk from outside and I literally have no idea who it could be I hear a high pitched "oof " as I see Lily with her coke whore baking face rum across me to stare out the window " That's our ride buddy " she says gazing out the window her lips curling into a smile " Who even is that " " well some one has to sleep around for the both of us "
