Ice-Cold

New Born

I can hear the yipps of my brother's and sister's, I yip with them, I can feel the warmth of their bodies touching mine. My mother i feel nudging my side and licking me clean, it feels wonderful. There are so many smells that i just want to smell more but there is one that i feel i have already smelt before.... Milk! I move my little legs, kicking and pushing towards my mother but i get pushed away. I yip again and again. Some thing lifts me high and hushes me... i feel... safe. I feel tired and hungry but i just want to sleep, i feel my body shutting down and my breathing become silent, I relax my body.

I wake up and see a whole new world, it's colorful and pretty. I can see my Brother's and sister's! I can see My MuM and... A thing?? what is it? "Elo" I say to the Figure behind my Mum, they didn't reply. A Smaller, stranger figure came running. "Have they opened their eyes daddy?!" This voice soothed me, it was like before, I yipped at her and she smiled at me, she knelt down and picked me up... Wait... this has happened before! I stretch out my body and yawn. I hear my mother growl, did I do something bad? "Sorry" I say but she didn't stop growling. I Get put back on the Fluffy quilt where my family lay. My mum stopped growling and there, where I was safe from anything, I felt safer than ever.

I wake with a nudge, i open my eyes and my family is sleeping. I feel my legs shake as i try to stand. One paw in front of the other, she watches her mum do it so she thought she would try, i start walking towards a big hairy thing. they turn and face me. "Why, hello there little one". My ears point up as i hear his voice, my tail wags back and forth and i reply. "hello, im Evva. Are you my brother?", i hear my mother interrupt "That is a cow dear" she picks me up by the scruff and takes me outside. "You know you're too young to be walking, you're only about 7 hours old, but your special Evva, you're different from the others, okay?" Her voice makes me happy. " i understand mum" i cuddle into her fluff, it's warm and soft, she licks my ear and walks away. A while after i hear a loud high pitch noise, i shake my body trying to get rid of it, It doesn't go away. I Run over to the noise, but it seemed more like i was jumping... Weirdly... A human Picks me up and stands there, waiting for something, i see my Family run over, tails wagging, he puts me down and walks away, everyone runs after him, i waddle behind everyone and he walks into the shed and we all follow, he walks out and shuts the door behind him. My mum walks onto the bed and lay down, i go and cuddle into her and everyone else joins. I close my eyes and i already feel myself falling asleep.

**NEXT DAY**

I Open my eyes and look around, no one is here. I stand and start to wonder around the shed trying to find everyone, I can hear them outside... They left me...They left me behind, I feel scared, why do I feel scared? "Mummmmmm!" I scratch at the door and yip, howling for my mother, the door opens and I fall back, it was the girl from yesterday! I remember now! she picks me up and takes me outside, I feel the breeze touch my skin and the sun's warmth touch my body. It's bright outside but it's cloudy too. She takes me into the house and there my family was, lay there on a bed. She puts me down on the bed and I stand back up and walk away, i feel angry that they left me but it was stupid. My anger shouldn't ruin my friendship between my family, I should've woken up earlier, I giggle to myself, and there i smell... Food,  I run to the smell of food, My mother was rolled over on her side, I wag my little tail and slowly walk over, my brother's come running up behind me, I fall... yet again... They shove me out the way and I'm left sat there, wondering to myself why I even bother anymore, I know, I know, I'm only like, what? a day or two old? Well, i don't care... My stomach Shakes and i look at My stomach like i have never seen it before, I know im hungry...  so hungry... I get in the bed and lay there, i feel so tired... I start to fall asleep.
