Vanessa's POV;
I smiled at the small TV in the coffee shop. Ross and Laura, they were gonna make it!
I'm so proud of my sister.. If I was there, I would've gotten killed within 5 minutes.
Laura was always the one who liked hunting, using knifes, using arrows, while I, ate whatever she gave me.
I'm only 13, I can't do much..
I looked over to my mom and I saw her praying (A/N: Sorry if I offended any of you in anyway).
I bowed my head, put my hands together, and prayed. I don't usually do this, but hopefully He listens to my prayers..

Ross' POV;
"Laura, c'mon," I said. I touched her shoulder and led the way.
We occasionally had to look back, what if that one person was behind us, ready to attack?
We were walking silently, though the sound of the plants we were pushing away so it won't hit us in the face, sort of gave us away.
I suddenly hear the sound of someone cutting down plants near us. It's like they were getting closer, and closer, and closer...
Laura froze, the look in her eyes said everything.
Scared.
Afraid.
Frightened.
Sad.
But most importantly, mad.
I put my hand in her mouth, to make sure she doesn't say anything.
I quickly but silently start moving to the left. But all I heard was the sound getting closer.
I gulp as Laura tried running away.
I grab her arm and shook my head, just to see her wanting to whine.
I ignored that and looked the other way.
"ROSS!"
I rapidly moved my head, just to see no Laura.
Okay, so I moved my head for a split second, and then turn it back, and no Laura?
Ok ok, someone's gonna get killed 😄
I start running, I don't know where I was going, but oh, I was running.
I soon saw a shadow right behind me, I look back and saw a guy. He had a red shirt, he was bald.. And he was kinda overweight.. he had a tag name that said "Bob". What?
I pinned him down to the ground and started growling, "WHERE IS SHE?!"
He flinched, "I'M SORRY, I JUST WORK HERE. MY NAME IS BOB.. I'M NOT PLAYING!"
I get off him and he screamed and ran away...
I needed to find her.
Vanessa's POV;
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Ross' POV;
"LAURA!" I cried.
I wiped my tears away as I yell.
"LAURA!!" And.. I collapse..
Yep, I had no energy. I've been looking for her for 3 stupid hours, and I can't.. I just.. Can't..
I closed my eyes, when I hear an alarm.
Huh..
"Attention ladies and gentlemen, the Hunger Games are over. Congratulations to the two winners! We will now send a helicopter to pick you up, stay put."
I open my eyes and got up.
"Laura.." I whispered.
I smiled and started running, but then I bumped into someone.
"Ross!" She hugged me and all I could do and wanted to was hug back.
"WE WON!" I laughed and she threw her knife on the floor.
We kept hugging until we had to pull away because of the alarm again.
"Attention ladies and gentlemen, I was just informed by Mr. Snow, there can only be one winner. I repeat, there can only be one winner. May the odds be forever in your favor. This message was given by Ryland 💞"
Vanessa's POV;
I got up from the table and threw a glass on the ground. "NOTHING GOOD CAN EVER HAPPEN TO THIS WORLD!" I cried out and left.
My mom just let me be because she knew I had to take some time.
Some tears formed my eyes. I started sobbing, but when I saw Riker, I ran and hugged him.
He hugged me back and the grip got tighter as I was about to let go. I suddenly felt something so sharp that went in my back. I let go and he did too, I collapse and gasp for air, but right before everything went pitch black, I heard him say, "I'm sorry..." and his footsteps getting further away..

I only have 3 books left so, I might start another story after I finish 2.
