Chapter 3: Caught In A Nightmare

(Lizzy's Pov)
I woke up fanatically, gasping for air from the dream I had. What a strange dream.........it felt so real and terrifying. I looked at my hand which had some of my blood and the mysterious girl. It was real..........sometimes when I fall asleep, I meet these people who are hunted by Zalgo and I always sacrifice my blood into theirs. I sighed swinging my legs over the bed, before grabbing my bag of belongings and my chihuahua's food. Today was moving day yet everything seem too quiet this morning. I just walked into the kitchen, expecting my family to be there eating and celebrating about our new home with the rest of the family but instead, I was greeted by horrid yet delicious scent. Blood. Blood was everywhere and my family's corpses were on the ground. They looked like they trying to protect something from a creature. I wondered for a bit until I realized that.......they tried to protect me. I couldn't believe they were dead. Small whimpering was near me. It was Cupid and Stormbringer, injured but still strong. A cackle was heard. I grabbed a large knife, while scanning the kitchen carefully.

"Show yourself! I know you killed my family, Zalgo!" I sense someone near, knowing it was Zalgo right away. His impure demon red eyes stared into my pure chocolate brown eyes.

"Well done. You actually knew it was me."

"Why? Why did you kill my family?! Now I have to go to my other relatives!" He just laughed before showing me my relatives in Mexico and over Texas. They were dead too. Tears made it down my face as my hands trembled around the knife I held.

Now to destroy this household.." And that's when I blacked out.

~Timeskip~

I woke up frantically before I grabbed everything that would be needed; food, weapons, devices, money, probably my cousin's skateboard, food for my pets, and memoirs. I stuffed all of those things in my bag except for the large knife which I put in my hoodie pocket.

"Sweet dreams guys.......cause I know you'll never wake up.........Please watch over me..." I said tearfully before running off with Stormbringer and Cupid. I was later found by a single mother with two children who took me in but the mother abused me. They were moving already so I was prepared. I stared at the rosary that my parents had given to me on my 7th birthday. I stuffed it into my pocket before I stepped into the car with my head down. Goodbye old neighborhood of mine.............I'll always remember the good memories we had here. I stared at window with a emotionless face but I didn't notice.........that Ravenna was still alive and my eyes? They were no longer glowing with chocolate gold. Instead they glowed with a furious dark violet.
