1. A BUZZ OF BEWILDERMENT
During one general studies session,
Debate on terrorism was in progression;
All were eager to express their views
Based on current facts and news;
Someone raised an issue on religion
And equated it with terrorists’ mission;
Shahid revolted vehemently,
All eyes were riveted on him instantly;
His face turned crimson with indignation,
Which clearly expressed his agitation;
A buzz of bewilderment filled the room,
As though anticipating an impending doom.
What happened next, no one could guess,
Shahid , in his wretched recklessness,
Flung hard the wooden black-board duster,
With all the strength that he could muster;
Aimed at a particular boy, but instead,
It hit the teacher right on her head;
The whole class was left stunned and speechless,
The teacher stood there shaken and listless;
With baited breath they waited in earnest,
For the teacher’s response to this nasty unrest;
Undoubtedly, Shahid was punished and suspended
For an act that was purely unintended!
