After a couple minutes of meaningful staring, Dean cleared his throat once again, and Sam came back to reality. His hazel eyes were shining in the sunlight.
I repeated my question, as I expected an answer. "So you're chosen, too, then?" I asked, but with more confidence.
Sam blinked and looked toward the sky, as if it would give him an answer. He cleared his throat and looked at Dean, who also seemed expectant of an answer.
"I-I guess, yeah. Yelloweyes been in your head too?"
"Um, yeah, actually? H-How did you kno?w"
"Just a hunch,"
Dean interrupted our somewhat awkward chat and with concern in his voice, asked "Chosen? The hell's that suppposed to mean?"
Sam and I exchanged looks once again, I was lost in his eyes. These Winchesters sure do have pretty eyes... and faces, too. I felt my ears and face grow hot and I looked away.
Sam was the first one to answer since I was caught in a daze.
"I... I don't know. But Yelloweyes has a plan, and he says he needs me- uh, us," Sam gestured toward me, as well as himself.
I cut into the conversation, because I saw Dean's face go pink, and I didn't want to see him angry at Sam.
"He wants us to join some army or something... he's not very clear on his plans,"
Dean was still a little pink, but it was subsiding. I could tell he didn't want to be angry. His phone rang and he looked at the screen. He opened up the phone and pressed the button and walked away. Sam cleared his throat then looked meaningfully at me. I broke the silence.
"So... funny meeting you here, huh? Another soldier of a demon...," I sighed and chuckled a little bit. Sam chuckled too. It was refreshing to hear something so light after all things considered.
"Yeah, I guess. Sergeant," Sam said, and chuckles again. I started laughing, and then Dean came back. I stopped laughing and cleared my throat.
"What are you two laughing at?" he asked suspiciously.
"N-nothing...," I responding hurriedly.
"Alright then, weirdos. Get in," he said as he opened the door to the Impala.
"You," he pointed. "In the back,"
"Yes, sir!" I saluted, and crawled into the back of the car.
Sam got in next, and Dean slammed the door after Sam got situated.
"Nice car," I brought myself to say.
"Thanks. Guess you're not as bad as I thought," Dean said as he slammed his door shut.
He turned the key and the car rumbled to life.-------------------------------------------------------
