Brooklyn's POV

3 days. I've been down here for 3 ducking days. My birthday was missed. My friends have come down to see me but everyone was forbid to give me food or water. I'm down here alone. I hear screams sometimes. Im starving. I'm weak and Amazon is always crying in my head I finally had to block her out. I replay everything that's happened in my head over and over. My packs gone, I had to save my siblings. My family dead, my alpha dead, my boyfriend dead.  He's a monster. The mate I dreamed that would come to save me never came. That's because it was him...the monster was my mate. And the monsters name was...Colixto.

I hear a door. The door opens and light floods into the dim cells. I look up limply to see him...Colixto. As I slowly look into his eyes my world stops, his blue and green eyes pierce into mine making me want to never look away. His lips are so plump and pink, I would never stop kissing them. He is my mate. No! No!
"Colixto," I growl weakly and he growls back.
"Brooklyn," he responds
"I Brooklyn reject you Colixto as my mate." I say horsily and he growls
"I won't accept it!" He snarls and I whimper
"Please just leave me alone. Let me die here I'm done." I say laying my head against the wall.
"Reject me!" I snarl loudly
"I should!" He roars and I whimper
"W-what," I say and he growls.
"Oh let's watch a movie and I'm going to sit right next to Alec and kiss all over him!" He growls
"Olivia," I growl quietly and he quickly pins me against the wall.
"Olivia would be a better mate than you could ever be, don't try my patience here." he snarls lowly and my heart breaks.
"Then I will be staying with Alec!" I growl and he punches the wall beside me. Fear shoots through me as he looks into my eyes.
"I Brooklyn reject you Colixto as my mate!" I scream over and over until he wraps his large hand around my throat. Oxygen leaves my body and Amazon screams in my head to react.
"I Colixto reject your rejection," he growls in my ear and then it happens. The monster sinks his canines into my neck. The monster marks me as his.
"I'm the strongest thing alive, and I will show I'm stronger than the puny mate bond." He growls. He then drops me onto the ground and walks out of the cell leaving it wide open. He's doing this to test himself. He thinks he's strong, so he's going to go against the moon goddesses creation of mates to see if he can fight it. And to top it off I'm part of his pack now.
'Alec' I cry and within minutes he's downstairs and has me wrapped in his arms.
"What's wrong?" He asks and I lift my chin exposing the sore skin
"He marked you!" He roars and nod
"Come on," he says picking me up bridal style. He walks me upstairs and into the kitchen. Colixto then walks in with Olivia and kisses her passionately. I hiss in pain as the mark burns fiercely. Colixto flinches slightly but wraps Olivia's legs around his waist and walks out of the room without breaking the kiss. I whimper.
"I'll make you some food," Alec says as he makes me a huge turkey sandwich. Sitting my food down on the table he gets me a glass of water. I begin to take a large bite out of the sandwich but gasp in pain. My whole body is engulfed in pain and I fall off the chair.
"Help me!" I yell to Alec and he picks me up but the pain only gets worse.
"I don't know what to do," Alec says desperately and Alexandria comes in. She growls and has Alec follow her into her and Jakes bedroom.
"Put her in here," Alex says and Alec sets me down in a freezing bathtub. The pain lessens and I sigh in relief.
"What happened to her?" Alec says stressed and Alex growls
"Her mate is having sex that's what," she says
"Trust me I would know Jake used to be a big man whore." She says and I nod slightly but I'm breaking on the inside. Amazon howls in my head loudly and I cry.
"Go," Alexandria says and Alec walks out of the room with Jake.
"Come on Brooklyn," she says letting the water out of the tub replacing it with hot warm water.
"Why would he do that," I say crying and Alexandria take my shirt off and pants.
"Your fine, lets get you clean. You look like an ugly monster who rolled in some dirt." She says and I look at her but laugh at her bad joke. As Alex helps me wash off and clean my hair she grabs me a warm fluffy towel and helps me step out of the bathtub. I wobble for a second but the pain is gone now. Alex walks out of the room and comes back with a pair of fuzzy pants and one of Colixto's tshirts.
"This will help you sleep, I had Alec get you it." She says handing me the pajamas. I put them on and begin to walk out of the room but Alex stops me.
"You can stay in here, Colixto will be mad if you go to Alecs room. Jake will stay with Alec for now and you can stay with me." She says and I nod.
"Thank you Alex," I say and she smiles
"Hey hoes before bros right?" She says and I laugh.
"Does he feel any of this?" I ask quietly and Alex hugs me
"He does and he feels your pain," she says.
"Can i go for a run?" I ask her quietly and she nods
"I'll come with just in case of rogues,"she says
"It's fine I'll be ok, I need this time alone," I say and she nods. Walking outside j shift and it's painful at first only because I haven't shifted in a while. I feel Amazons spirits lift as she realizes we are going for a run.
'Can I take control' she begs and I sigh but allow her to. She then takes off full sprint into the forest. Her lean, agile body shoots through the trees jumping over logs and everything. I feel her happiness and all of our worries are gone, it's just us letting everything go in the forest. She lets out a long happy howl that echoes through the evening air. I shift back laughing as we near a stream. Diving in my muscles relax at the chilly water.
'This is fun!' Amazon says and I smile
'I know right, the most fun we've had in a while' I say. Shifting back I allow her to take control again and she paddles through the water lapping at it excitedly. She gets out shaking off and quickly jumps back in making the water go everywhere. As the wind shifts I catch a smell and Amazon growls alertly. Looking towards it I see Colixto's wolf sitting there just watching us. Ugh. Slowly climbing out of the opposite side of the stream Amazon shakes off and runs back through the forest but away from the pack house. Amazon then goes back into her happy playful state and I forget about running into Colixto and enjoy her company and positive attitude. As we enter a clearing of long grass that goes up to about our shoulders Amazon jumps up and down running through the grass. She lets out howls and barks of happiness and she rolls around in the grass flattening it. Getting up again she runs some more and jumps into a large pond.
'Do you ever get tired' I laugh she swims through the water and then sits down laying on the dock of the pond. She sighs heavily resting her muzzle into her paws. Shifting back to human form I sit my legs in the water and splash then back and forth. Climbing into the water I lay on my back floating around the pond.
'Do you think we will ever see them again?' Amazon asks and I automatically know who she's talking about...my siblings
'I'll see if I can arrange something with their Luna Julia' I say and I feel her happiness once again. Hearing a creak I turn to see Colixto's black wolf sitting on the dock watching me closely with his dark green gaze. I growl and shift back into Amazon who longs to be next to him. Giving her control my heartaches at the close proximity but yet he's so far. Climbing out of the water Amazon drops her head in submission as she nears him. His gaze never leaves ours as we sit next to him. I look down and slowly move into his touch. Our fur brushes and I shiver as the tingles go through my body. He groans softly and Amazon pushes her muzzle under his wolves neck moving closer to him. He hesitates but eventually leans into Amazon and nuzzles her in return. She purrs softly and her tail wags lightly. Amazon then give me back control and I lay down resting my head on my paws. Colixto lays down beside me resting his muzzle on my back. Rolling over I paw at his face and I can't help but notice his tail twitch slightly. He growls and rolls over slightly and I take the chance to pin him down and flop on top of him. Amusement glints in his eyes and he flips me off of him. Going back to laying side by side I look up and notice the sun is beginning to set. Gaining courage I look into Colixto's dark eyes and lick his muzzle slightly. He seems shocked and curls his lip back slightly going back into his hard state. My heart breaks once again and I whimper.
'Why won't you just love me?' I mind link him sadly and I stand up shaking my fur out. He stands up and shifts back looking at me.
"Shift," he orders and his command has me shift right away.
"Why? Why can't you love me like a normal mate?" I say quietly looking down. He takes a step closer and we are chest to chest, he then lifts my chin looking into my eyes.
"I'm not like other mates, I can't be loved," he growls and I can't hold back anymore. I hug his torso tightly.
"Please Colixto, your breaking me. I can't live like this, every time you have sex with Olivia my whole body burns and the pain is horrible. Your killing me!" I say crying. Releasing him I look away.
"I don't know why I ever wanted to be close to you anyway, you don't care." I say turning away. He grabs my arm and turns me toward him his eyes pitch black.
"Maximus," I whisper and caress his face.
"Love, Colixto is fighting the mate bond because he's scared he will hurt you. Colixto's been through a lot and was told he doesn't have a mate and if so she's dead. He believed it after all of the years his father told him that, his father thought love was a burden and killed his mate. Give us a chance, Colixto will come through. He wants to love you." Maximus says and his dark eyes go back to Colixto's. He growls softly and looks at my lips.
"Give me a chance to change," he says and I nod longing for him to love us. I pull his lips onto mine and kiss him passionately.
"I will Colixto," I say and he growls softly in approval.
"Let's head back," he says deeply and I whimper but nod. He kisses me again before shifting back and jogging back to the pack house. I shift and follow after him.
'What about Olivia?' I say and he growls
'She will be disowned as Luna, you are my mate. The one and only.' He says and I purr slightly at his words.
'You will be sleeping with me tonight' he says and I nod.
'Alex I'm staying with Colixto, we talked everything over. I'll give you the details tomorrow' I say and she squeals in my head.
'Ok!' She says happily.

When we arrive at the pack house I'm exhausted. Shifting back I get clothes and begin to walk into Alex's room but Colixto chuckles and scoops me up into his arms. I laugh and wrap my arms around his neck. When we walk into Colixto's room the sight is unbelievable. There on the bed having sex is Olivia and Alec.
"Alec!" I say shocked and Colixto's growl is deafening.
"What are you doing!" He booms at them and Olivia's face is priceless. Her face is as white as a ghost and I laugh making her glare at me.
"Umm...Colixto sorry uh," Alec says  getting up. Colixto growls and covers my eyes like I'm 5. Alec gets dressed and Colixto glares at him the whole time.
"Get out!" He booms at him and Alec chuckles nervously before running out of the room. Olivia just lays in the bed.
"Alec was just one night Colixto, I'd have you anytime. How about right now?" She says seductively. Colixto puts me down gently.
"Olivia," Colixto warns and she gets up slowly making her way toward him.
"I want you in me, take me all night Colixto." She growls and finally Amazon snaps. She takes full control leaving me no room to talk sense.
'I'm done with her' she growls to me

Cliffhangerrrr. So Colixto apologizes and wants Brooklyn to give him another chance. Should she? What's going to happen to Olivia? I hope you guys like this chapter I'll update again soon. Thanks for reading. Love ya~ Saylor
