C H A P T E R S  F I F T E E N : D E S T R O Y

Why had Jackson been hanging with the Mikaelson's recently instead of helping Stiles from whatever was happening to him?

Because the idiot- Stiles- broke his Sire bond, and then had the audacity to reconnect the damn thing to Niklaus Mikaelson, smart move? No. Not at all.

Now Jackson was stuck in a large? Car, with the entirety of the siblings, and Jackson was prepared to announce that no car was large enough to hold their individual egos. If the siblings weren't glaring at each other, they were dropping dead bodies or snapping necks. It was a shame Jackson's neck had been in the cohabitation because he'd lost more than eight hours of memory.

Although he wasn't sure that was a bad thing as he came to- he returned to destruction. Complete, and utter, destruction. A blood bath perhaps? There was definitely some part of the human anatomy lingering at his feet. Never mind that- because that- that right there- is definitely a limb.

His eyes lock with Klaus's grinning face, as both he and Elijah read books. "So- this is what you do?"I blink, rubbing my face as my heart begins to sing its boring repetitive tune. "-The first time you're back together as a family? Vampire bookclub?" My head cocks in estranged disbelief as Klaus turns the page of his book.

"Reading edifies the mind, Jackson," Klaus's eyes turn to his brother with a humbling smile, "Isn't that right, Elijah."

"Yes, it's quite right, Niklaus," Elijah nods, his gaze not deterring from his own novel. My eyes squeeze shut as a migraine ensues- "And what's this business?" I ask, gesturing to the body of a woman as it lays at our feet.

"This is a-" Elijah sighs, making a flippant gesture to the carcass, "peace offering-" Klaus speaks up, capturing Elijah's attention, "I presumed, that after so long desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish," he clarifies, turning the following page.

"And I explained to my little brother, that forgiveness cannot be bought, I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition, personal growth-" Elijah's eyes drift to Klaus' - which roll, before returning to his book, his hand once more gesturing to the body of the girl, "not this nonsense."

"Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?" The siblings stare at each other for a moment as I deter my eyes to the stained floor. "Um- sorry to interrupt your - very pleasant- stare off, but where have your other siblings gone?"

Klaus shrugged, his eyes drifting down the page, Elijah rose his eyes thoughtfully, "They have run ahead to tend to some wolf problems, Kol, and Finn both hold a grudge, and Rebekah could stand us no longer."

"Tend to some wolf problems? Elijah, what do you mean." I ask, tendrils of nerves spiraling across my raised flesh as goosebumps of warning rose.

"They went to coat their snouts in blood."

"Coming in on a Saturday. That's dedication." The Nogitsune taunts, eyes flaring as we stare at Mr. Yukimura with spiteful eyes.

"Where's she hiding them? Hmm?" I hum, dragging my fingers along the bookcase as his eyes refocus towards his work.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about," he responds bravely, eyes warily dancing to and fro, between myself and the bookcases. "Her little knives. Daggers. I know what they are. They are physical representations of her tails. However the hell that works," I smirk, my eyes rolling as the Lichtenberg figures flared across my skin.
