Maddie and I started to walk back to my place in a comfortable silence. I looked over at Maddie, from her shoulder lenght slick red hair to her slightly bulky body. I always wondered about her. Sometimes when she comes to school she has a black eye or a big blue/purple wound on her hand or leg. I think that she was getting bullies but never brought it up. It really wasn't an easy topic to bring up with your best friend.

"Hello... earth to Olive", Maddie asked looking at me. "Sorry i was... uh thinking", "about what?", she asked looking at me with a expression I could not understand. "Stuff..", i replied, still a bit dazed. "So tell me more about that fortune teller who can let us swap bodies", she asked changing the subject. "First of all she is a witch and second of all she is near bukit brown", " The cemetry? Thats creepy", "ya it is", i replied.

We reached near my house and Maddie stood waiting while I typed in the password of the gate so we could get in. We got to my lift and went up in again silence. This silence though was not comfortable. When we got up I saw my parents still in the living room. While passing I said hi but surprise surprise, they did not say anything.

We got up to my room and jus sat on the couch infront of my t.v. "Olive, what time are we going to the witch and learning how swap bodies?", "We are leaving at 12 and sneaking out... my parents wint notice a thing and even if they do they wont do anything", Maddie nodded. I looked over at her and asked her, " Maddie, why dont we ever have a sleepover at your house?" That question seemed to startle her. "Ummmm..... well you see... my dad d-does not really like having p-people around", she said practiclt ripping the remote out of my fingers and switching the chanel.

Something tells me she is not telling the truth. I am gonna find out what it is.
