"Aya." There was a tap on her shoulder as she entered the club room.
Turning around, she saw the blond Tamaki staring quizzically at her, it was unusual to see such an expression on the male's face - he was usually more hyper. It was hard to tell exactly what he was thinking most of the time.
"What is it Tamaki?" Aya felt her cheeks redden under his intense gaze.
She willed her heartbeat to slow down, for fear that he would be able to hear it and plastered a smiling expression on her doll-like face.
Tamaki scratched his head and tried to sort out his tangled thoughts. There was so much he wanted to talk to her about. So much that he had missed, that he hadn't been a part of. The endless questions swirled about even more.
But there was one thing he had to be certain of now.
What her deal was with Honey-sempai.
It wasn't that she couldn't have friends, it was just that, since they were young. she had only ever been close with Tamaki and spent most of her time with him.
As disconcerting as it was, he had to know why she was spending so much time with him. It was mostly due to the fact that he had been influenced by the twins words.
Even if they were messing with the blonde, what they said might have some truth to it. So he wanted to ask her first.
"Wha..." Before Tamaki could give voice to his thoughts, he was interrupted by Honey calling Aya over to where he was sitting, surrounded by cakes and various other confectionary goods.
"Coming!" Aya called back to him and then turned back to Tamaki, "what did you want to say?" She fixed him with her inquisitive eyes and Tamaki gulped.
"It's nothing important," his smile was awkward and forced, as he replied. "Go... Honey probably wants to tell you about some new sweet or something."
He turned her around and lightly nudged her towards where the shorter blonde and Mori were sat.
"If you're sure?" Aya sensed something was up, but she also knew from experience that if Tamaki needed to say something he would've said it.
She sat down amidst the mountain of sweets and began to chat cheerily with Honey.
A chill came over Tamaki as two identical shadows appeared behind him.
"She really has abandoned you." Said Kaoru placing a not so comforting hand on Tamaki's left shoulder.
"Poor boss." Came Hikaru's voice as he placed a hand on Tamaki's right shoulder.
☽
It was night.
A dark, starry, moonlit night and a suspicious shadow cast itself along the road.
The shadow belonged to a blond, amethyst eyed, tall male covered in black clothing and wore black sunglasses; this was what Tamaki thought being inconspicuous was all about.
But it made him look more like a stalker, which at this very moment, was the only way to describe him.
The curiosity had got the better of him and he had followed Aya on her way back from school.
And that was how he had wound up in the so-called 'slums', or the poverty side of town: where there was nothing but run-down houses.
He took of his sunglasses and the medical mask, that covered the lower half of his face, so he could see the house that Aya had just entered more clearer. It wasn't as bad as the other houses either side of it, but it was still a far cry from the house that Aya lived in when she was younger.
It really was like going from riches to rags.
