Harry

"You're so fuckin' whipped!" Niall hollers. My eyes roll at my blond friend's compliment, which was supposed to be an insult.

"I take pride in the fact that I am in love with Arabella."

"Gag," Zayn chuckles. "Pussy is nothing compared to the mighty steel rod!"

Louis 'yay's at that. Liam, Niall, and I just shake our heads.

Three months of keeping my engagement from my friends and family because I know they'll only think one thing: "is she pregnant?"

Liam leans back to get more comfortable in the couch. "So, you've been spending an awful lot of time at Bella's place lately."

We haven't moved into together because we want everyone to know about everything before we jump into it. I may be an adult but I fear my friends' criticism.

I gulp. "Isn't that what fiances do?" For the first time since I've met these men they're speechless. "Surprise?"

Lou is the first to speak. "You're leaving me? For a woman?"

"Lou--."

"Ten years of friendship and you're getting married! How dare you! Bros before hoes, bro!"

Zayn tries to calm his boyfriend down but Lou is rialed up. He's always had attachment issues, and I get it. He becomes very attached to people and it hurts him more than anything else when they leave.

The apartment door opens and a tear struck Arabella walks in. She drops her key and hand bag on the couch beside Liam. She walks right past me and into the arms of my fired up best friend.

He stands shocked, but holds her to his chest none the less.

"Babe?" I call softly, hurt that she didn't come to me. She shakes her head and says this is a problem I can't get involved in.

What's so terrible that I can't get involved in? She's the love of my life and I want to be involved in even the messiest of problems.

She asks Lou if she can talk to him privately. The two enter his room and I hear the lock being turned.

"What was that?" Niall bursts after a few silent minutes. He looks around at the equally confused men before stammering over to me. "Are you engaged because--."

"No, she's not pregnant!" I shout. And suddenly I hear yelling coming from Lou's room. Not angry yelling, no, his excited yelling. But to accompany his yelling are Arabella's sobs, and those don't sound so happy.

The door opens and my fiancé leaves the apartment without grabbing her belongings.

I'm torn, do I follow her or do I stay here to explain to my friends that I love her?

No wonder she didn't come to me, I'm stupid. Why is that even a question?

I grab her purse and key to this apartment before running after her.
