Grace woke up late the next morning and rushed to get ready. She didn't have time to do her hair so she put it into a quick ponytail. After running downstairs she warmed up pop tarts all before Veneer came over to pick her up.

"How was your date?" He asked when she got in.

"It went fantastic." Grace said. "He's really sweet."

"That's what he wants you to believe." Veneer said. "I swear."

"Shut up."

"Does your brother know?" Grace shook her head.

"And he won't ever know." She said. "He will freak. I won't let him know. Besides who will tell?"

"Me."

"You're scared of him you wouldn't tell him."

"That's why I'll tell him. If you get hurt and I knew you had a boyfriend and I didn't tell him. I'd get in trouble, too." He explained.

"Don't be a bitch." Grace said getting out of his car. "He won't hurt you."

"Yeah yeah. He won't hurt you." He said.

"True. I don't know when the next time I'll see him is though." Grace said. "It's kind of a whenever thing."

When Grace walked in she was almost immediately approached by Jerome who told Veneer to leave. He wrapped his arm around Grace and took her books out of her hands.

"Goodmorning beautiful." He said following her to her locker. Grace blushed and smiled.

"Goodmorning." She said. "How are you?"

"Ten times better now." He said leaning on the lockers beside hers. "Seeing your smile can always brighten a mood."

"Really?" He nodded. "Well thank you."

"Anytime." He told her looking her up and down stopping at her butt. She closed her locker and he brought his eyes back up. "You finish?"

"Yeah." She said nodding.

"What are you doing tonight?" He asked.

"Nothing that I know of."

"Good. Can you help me with my homework after school?" He smiled and Grace frowned.

"So that's why you asked me out?" Grace scoffed and took her books back walking away. Jerome pulled her back and shook his head.

"No no no." He lied. "I have a test tomorrow and I know you can help me pass. I honestly want to be with you. I mean an I just supposed to fail?"

Grace studied his body language and eyes for a minute. "Ok. After school at the library."

"I'll drive you." He said. "I'll meet you by your locker."

"Ok. That works." He took her books back.

"Let me carry those for you. Come on." He put his arm back around her waist and walked her to class.

"Aye Jerome where did you disappear off to?" Frank asked when Jerome came to class.

"I was with Grace." He said nonchalantly. "Duh."

"Don't 'duh' me nigga. I'm surprised Monica ain't been in your ass."

"That's what you think. I had to block her number she called it so many times." Jerome said. "She ain't showed up at my trap or nothing. No crazy shit. She keeping her distance."

"You did always keep a bitch in check."

"I think she'll stick her nose in my business soon enough." Jerome told him. "She won't fuck with Grace though. I won't let it happen."
