Pokemon High

Chapter 2

"Where did he go?" Serena whined, bouncing around trying to find Ash.

"Serena, s-slow down! Maybe he just went to the bathroom or trying to find some food. Y-You know Ash..." Clemont panted.
Serena pouted. "But all I told him was that I was going to my room! Aren't you guys in the same room?"
"He plopped his stuff on one of the beds and left." Clemont said.

Serena sighed and bounced off again.

"Serena..." Clemont groaned and tried to run after her again.

If he was going to be perfectly honest, being in large crowds scared him. New people scared him. Yea he was a gym leader but he was in his element. Here, he was like a wild Buneary. So small and vulnerable. 

Clemont yelped as he bumped into someone while he was lost in his thoughts.

"I'm sorry!" He turned to the person and smiled.

"Clemont!" The bushy black haired girl exclaimed as she hugged him.
"Iris! I didn't know you'd be here." Clemont said.
"Well, you know, every trainer has to take a year off their journey or whatever." Iris shrugged.

Clemont saw a tall green haired boy, a blue haired girl holding a Piplup, and a purple haired boy walk up to them.

"Iris! There you are! You can't run off like that!" The green boy scolded her.
"Shut up, Cilan! I'm not a little kid!" Iris exclaimed.
"Could've fooled me." Cilan smiled.
"Guys, calm down! Oh, hello! My name is Dawn and this is my partner, Piplup!" The blue girl smiled at Clemont and her Piplup waved.
"Oh, I almost forgot! Guys, this is Clemont. He's traveling with Ash in Kalos." Iris beamed putting an arm around his neck.
"Ash? Really? Where is he?" Dawn asked.
"Oh, um, he-"
"Probably running around some where. What a little kid." Iris shrugged, finishing his sentence.
"Pathetic." The purple guy scoffed and turned to leave.
"Paul!" Dawn caught the back of his shirt before he left. "Sorry, this is Paul. We're traveling around Unova together."

"So where's Serena? I'm guessing Bonnie was complaining that she couldn't come." Iris smirked.
Clemont laughed nervously. "Y-Yea. Um, Serena went off to look for Ash."
Iris leaned in and whispered, "Has she told Ash yet?"
Clemont bit his lip. "N-No..."
Iris sighed. "What a kid..."

Clemont spotted Serena across the yard, talking to some people. "Uh, it was nice meeting you guys but I'm going to catch up with Serena. See you later!" 
"Oh ok bye!" Iris said and they walked towards the dorms.

Clemont was almost to Serena when she grabbed the orange haired girl in the group and ran off.

"Not again..." He sighed and decided to walk this time.

"Clemont!" Ash ran up to him.
Clemont screamed. "Ash! You scared me!"
Ash sweat dropped. "Sorry. Anyways, have you seen Serena? I was checking out the place and it's awesome!"
Clemont sighed and pointed over to Serena who had just disappeared with the girl. "She went to the dorms with some orange haired girl."
"Orange?" Ash asked. "Um, did she have a side ponytail?"
"I don't know. Why?" Clemont asked.
"Um, no reason." Ash answered.
"Well, let's get back to the dorm. The other guy might already be in the dorm." Clemont said.
"Oh, yea! It's three to a dorm, right?" Ash lit up.
"Yea, why-Ash! Slow down!" Clemont shouted in fear as Ash dragged him away.

As Ash found the room, he fumbled with the key only to find the door already open.

"Hi! I'm Ash from Pallet Town!" Ash introduced himself as they ran in,.

The guy turned around. "And I'm Gary of I already know."
Ash stopped in his tracks. "Gary?!"
"Good to see you, Ashy Boy." Gary smirked.
"What are you doing here?" Ash asked.
"What do you think, feet for brains? I'm obviously here because it's a trainer school." Gary said.
"But-but...I thought you were going to be a Pokemon Professor?" Ash asked.
"Granddad made me go because he was worried about my social life since I only hang out with the gang." Gary rolled his eyes.
"The gang?" Ash asked.

Gary was about to answer just as the P.A system came on.

"Hello, students, and welcome to Pokemon High! This is your principal, Steven Stone, speaking. Classes start in five minutes. Your first period teachers will explain all the rules and how this school will work. Have a good day!" 

"Well, that's my cue, boys. See you in five." Gary said and left.

"Wait, Gary-" Clemont pulled Ash down.
"I'm tired. We got five minutes. Besides, I've been following you and Serena forever." Clemont said.
"Ok, fine. So what Pokemon did you register?" Ash asked.
"My Luxray, you know that. Wait, was that a bad choice since the Lumiouse Gym needs my electric type?" Clemont started to panic.
"They'll be fine. Besides, they have Chespin, Bunnelby, and Dedene." Ash said and flopped on his bed with Pikachu.

A bell rang. "Classes start in two minutes."

Ash sat up and grabbed his hat, his key, and his schedule. Pikachu hopped onto his shoulder and Clemont followed as they headed out.

I know that Gary is a professor in training and is probably not a flirt anymore but honestly, who can resist a flirty Gary ^.^
